2026 #AFL Draft period has been pretty good Roos. I’d be keen to get Snell, Williams, Bradley who are likely to called in the mid-teens to early-20’s so perhaps offer our 2028 2nd Round + Pick 33 until they come off the board. Then Pick 49 for McCartney?🤞 Go Roos!

There’s a Duursma to Demons; Blakey to Roos, trade to be made. Acknowledge the risk of charges relating to the (add obligatory “alleged”) abhorrent behaviour at Pullman Hotel: remember these are #AFL trades & anyone may not be playing for any number of reasons tomorrow. @nmfcofficial.bsky.social

Adelaide has reportedly rejected North’s offer for Nick Murray. Forget it! If an #AFL Coleman medallist, dual Brownlow medallist & games record holder are going for 4th round picks. Next year’s 1st round pick in exchange for Murray and a Crows future 2nd rounder is already too much!

Offer current pick 45 for Murray (who at best is 3rd in line for a game with the Crows) and current pick 54, that’s all. #AFL #AFLDraft

#AFL Adelaideapparently wants North’s Pick 5 to be involved in a trade for Nick Murray. Apart from quoting Darryl Kerrigan, “tell ‘em they’re dreamin’ “ Roos should suspend those discussions & try again for a tall defender - which is a must but not at that price - in next year’s #AFLDraft

Clarko’s sacking at #NorthMelbourne 1. Thanks for taking on the job. You’ve left our Club in far better shape. 2. Congratulations on your #AFL Coaching career. 3. Brave leadership by Sonja. Consulted. Considered. Concise. 4. Simmo & Horse on the on the Selection Committee; not candidates. Go Roos!

Ok, Simmo now Horse have excluded themselves as candidates. I’d still like them on the Selection Committee. And, I’d very much like Jason McCartney heading List Management. Go Roos! 🦘 #AFL

@nmfcofficial.bsky.social 2026 AFL DRAFT - Duursma with Pick 59 to Melbourne for Pick 10 - Fisher with 2027 2nd Round to Essendon for Ridley & 2028 3rd Round - Logue to St Kilda with Pick 68 for 2028 3rd Round - Pick 5 to Carlton for Pick 11 & 2027 1st Round (tied to Sydney)

- Pick 41 to Adelaide for Pick 50 & Murray - 2027 1st Round (tied to Sydney) & Pick 50 to Western Bulldogs & Port Adelaide for Picks 12 & 40 - Use Picks 10,11,12,40 on Snell, Williams, Bradley, McCartney - Take Stringer as Free Agent

I’m not well informed on Swedish politics but, anywhere, anytime, that you’re prepared to rely on support from hard-right groups with neo-Nazi roots, indeed, you promise them cabinet jobs so you may stay in charge. Well, you’ve lost any moral credibility to be in charge. www.bbc.com/news/article...

I have great respect for Chris Scott - his views, conduct & achievements. It’s difficult to reconcile that he would permit to remain ‘uninformed’ by the #Geelong hierarchy when a player takes an #AFL field with a #concussion waiver in place. Don’t know = Find out! www.abc.net.au/news/2026-09...

s32 of Vic. WHS Act, if a corporation acts with a conscious disregard (creating a waiver) for safety or probable danger & continues regardless of the risk (brain injury); then the fine could exceed $4 million. Test for #AFL : are they a corporate citizen that values player welfare? #concussion

The #AFL has imposed a fine on Geelong Cats which is equivalent to ~0.5% of this year’s media rights distribution. Fined for the wrong of mishandling paperwork. Not punished for the unethical creation of that #concussion waiver; and the ‘mates’ remain untouched. Really, really poor.

It’s be consumed by other events but the introduction of Wildcard Finals by the #AFL really sucks. Imagine if they put their minds & effort into draw integrity, consistency in the Rules, addressing misogyny, fixing the Tribunal, etc.

This time next week, a woman, somewhere in Australia, will be dead because of the actions of her current or former partner. That Prime Minister is the definition of ‘unacceptable’. #EndDV Stick with the well rehearsed Gambling Industry talking points next time. www.abc.net.au/news/2026-08...

abc.net.au'Completely unacceptable': Albanese lashes AFL over response to Swans scandalThe Prime Minister has called on the AFL to "do better" in response to the Sydney Swans scandal engulfing the league.

@nmfcofficial.bsky.social I’d like to finish our season with a win. I definitely would not like any ‘competitiveness’ to extend to sledging the Swans regarding this matter. The #AFL may be managing this poorly but, I hope our players can manage themselves better. www.abc.net.au/news/2026-08...

abc.net.au'Fair bit of anger across the whole AFLW' after Swans players allegationAs the Sydney Swans AFLW side gear up for a historic double header, they have been put under an uncomfortable spotlight through no fault of their own.

This is semantic- and not as important as the situation of the women involved - but, the Brownlow is awarded to the “fairest & best”. Hard to believe that being suspended by your own Club still entitles a player to be considered by the #AFL as the “fairest” www.afl.com.au/news/1589769

Geelong captain Patrick Dangerfield says the club "buggered up" Not good enough. There must be accountability for those responsible. The #AFL Commission should state No Confidence in the Commissioner. 6 Cats Directors must resign & CEO should lose his job. Fine the Club & forfeit Draft picks.

" .. an extremely complex and sensitive matter .. obligations to both the player and the club were very carefully considered by the Geelong board. There’s the problem! The obligations to player AND Club. The man’s welfare & wellbeing is at stake. #concussion www.abc.net.au/news/2026-08...
