Republicans just voted to slash Medicare benefits that seniors rely on every single day. They call it “reform.” Patients will call it higher costs, fewer doctors, and longer waits. This isn’t abstract. It’s your parents’ meds. Your grandparents’ care. #RepublicanMedicareCuts

"I could never lend myself to any transaction, however respectable, that would commercialize on the prestige and dignity of the office of the presidency. Show me a man that gets rich by being a politician, and I'll show you a crook." Harry Truman

Now we learn the billionaire owner of a bridge that will compete w/the new Canada-MI bridge met with Lutnick right before Trump issued his threat to shut down the new bridge. The Trump admin is a lawless mafia gangster extortion racket existing to enrich oligarchs at our expense.

Whistleblowers just shared a memo showing DHS instructing ICE to force their way into peoples' houses without a proper warrant. Why is this not on all the networks right now? This is a criminal conspiracy to violate rights under color of law.

A Black man was killed by ICE (off duty) in Los Angeles on New Year’s Eve. And like Renée Good, he was an American citizen. But most people have not heard about Keith Porter. I need y’all to realize this. Black people experience this lack of visibility all the time when it comes to being victims.

This breaks my heart. How do we come back from this?

These are the places where American students learn about the world. These cuts are one sign — I know there are others — of a country that is shrinking away. www.dailytarheel.com/article/a4ee...

My nana hat won't let me say what I'm really thinking, but here's what you miserable crooks need to hear: Get serious. Negotiate with Democrats. Reopen the government. Pay federal workers. Save health care.

Mike Johnson refuses to swear in Representative-elect Adelita Grijalva — because her vote could force the House to release the Epstein Files. The GOP is doing everything they can to keep Trump's Epstein cover-up going.

This is reprehensible! Thanks for speaking up and out, Senator Murray.

This morning, I opened up The Seattle Times and saw that a couple in WA state are seeing their premiums rise from $1,100 a month to $2,100 a month.   That is nearly DOUBLE.   We could fix this problem right now, but Trump cares more about building a ballroom than Americans' health care.

Nineteen years ago, on October 7, 2006, Anna Politkovskaya was assassinated by Putin's hitmen. She was the first to tell the truth about Russia's mass crimes in Chechnya, which foreshadowed those in Syria, Ukraine, Africa and elsewhere. They could have been prevented. Almost no one listened to her.

Emmy award-winning journalist Mario Guevara was deported today to El Salvador – a country he fled over 20 years ago — in retaliation for filming law enforcement activities. Officers arrested him while he was reporting at a “No Kings” protest against Trump, even though he was wearing a “PRESS” vest.

My head is exploding right now. Rand Paul talking sense on Newsmax. Our country attacking a boat out in international waters wasn't right and I'm glad someone is talking about it.

Rand Paul: "The reason we have trials & we don't automatically assume guilt is what if we make a mistake and they happen to be people fleeing the Venezuelan dictator? ... off our coast it isn't our policy just to blow people up ... even the worst people in our country, they still get a trial."

Multiple times this year I’ve had coffee with fellow immigrants who grew up in corrupt third world countries and the shared sentiment has been that Americans don’t understand how bad things are going to get.
