I love drawing sad boys

Tiny drawing about how a lot of times traveling to see loved ones is too far/expensive/difficult and it’s a bit tough when we have been away from each other so long. We do still sometimes share our wordles we are proud of, and it’s a good ice breaker.

Omg I feel so bad I’ve not been posting on bluesky but I want to get back to doing it ahhh. I’ve been badly art blocked 😭 so I drew my sad boy being blocked …

I feel like when I’m less sad I draw more flowers in my art. It’s hard to be sad when you’re drawing pretty flowers. However you can be extremely sad and self hating when you’re drawing hands

Crispy old sad lad … this art I made back before my computer died during the pandemic so I don’t have the file for him anymore … still having burnout all this time later, but we keep goin!! 😭

Confession: I feel like my art has declined so much. That I’m losing what little identity or magic my art used to have. Moving to a new platform is exciting but also bittersweet because I’ve been so inactive for so long I’ve lost connections to a lot of amazing people and I feel so guilty over it

I’m not sure I’m able to articulate things very well. I don’t talk very much because I feel like I can’t articulate well in words or art. I feel a bit more free to say it here, kind of like a more honest whisper

Old piece about the feeling of comfort of escapism. I saw people having different interpretations of it, and I didn’t mean to criticize, more like just portray what it felt like, I think.

Very excited to go to MCM London … it was the first con I ever went to as an attendee … I hope all will go well so I will be able to return in the future …

An old thing related vaguely to the anxieties I have about posting online. When you’ve grown up online there’s a history to you that others (and you) can revisit... intimate thoughts, past ideals you may have outgrown. All in separate places as their own entities, permenantly attached to you.

It’s an old piece but a sentimental one to me. I have these old pieces on grief - I made it as a sequel to a different one, coming off the heels of the pandemic. I initially made it about the sometimes abrupt end of life, when they leave behind unfinished stories, art, collections

And when you pack them away, or go through all of them, that secondary hit of grief where you run out of those things to go through. The realization that no new things will be created. But now it kind of gives me a bit of comfort reminding me that creating those things while still has a purpose.
