You know, one thing the Trump Presidencies have really made crystal clear is we really need some Constitutional reform. There are some well-intentioned but deep flaws in the Constitution. 1/x

Idea that needs to go viral: Since the USDA cannot be trusted, we need a bunch of Universities to setup an independent system of randomly sampling beef from stores around the US and lab testing it to check that it is, in fact, beef, without any horse (or other) mixed in.

They’ve added trillions in new spending. None of that has gone to Social Security or Medicaid. They will now say both are broke and must be cut. America needs new leadership.👇🏼

Americans’ Social Security benefits will have to be cut by roughly a quarter in six years due to depleted funds, according to a June report from the Social Security Board of Trustees. That’s months sooner than the group had estimated in 2025. https://to.pbs.org/4f39DL0

God. I hate BlueSky as much as I hated twitter. I don't use it much. I hate Facebook and Insta too. I wish there was a social media platform I didn't hate. What I hate about bsky is I can only post 4 sentences.

i am very certain that ditching gas is why my oldest didn't develop asthma after being pretty clearly pre-asthmatic

Sammy Roth@sammyroth.bsky.social

Insane new research. Scientists gave asthma patients free electric stoves to replace their gas stoves, then checked to see if symptoms improved. Not only did symptoms improve, ditching gas was *better than medicine.* Details in today's newsletter: www.climatecoloredgoggles.com/p/electric-s...

Since the 13th amend. allows slavery of felons. . . and the Supreme Court OK'ed states to make camping on public land a felony. . . another Great Depression could ensnare hundreds of thousands of people into slavery. And it could be you.

and besides being nothing but lost cause cliches, these are the words of a coward who can’t bring himself to say anything of real substance or conviction for fear of alienating the wrong people.

As those entrusted to uphold and faithfully execute those laws, We the People of the United States hold them to a higher standard, and deny them the right to be pardoned or receive clemency when they commit crimes in office. 4/x

One of those is the absolute Presidential Pardon. It's become clear that as it currently stands, the Pardon can easily be a tool to nullify the laws of the United States of America, particularly corruption laws. So, I propose the following as a Constitutional amendment. What do you think? 2/x

A #programming post: I decided to do a course for modern #Java, for #Java25. Of course much of it is the same as older Java, like the ternary operator '? :'. While working thru an exercise in combining methods, return values, and if/else, I got bored and came up with a super beautiful use of '? :'

Which isn't bad. But I think this is better: public static int calcScoreTier(int score) { return (score >= 1000) ? 1 : (score >= 500) ? 2 : (score >= 100) ? 3 : 4; } A nice concise list of test->value mappings.

I don't know how to say this any more plainly: If you are elderly, or have ongoing healthcare needs, and you vote Republican, you are VOTING TO EUGENOCIDE yourself. Nobody USES the term eugenics anymore, but basically the Republican healthcare plan is just that. Let the sick & very disabled die.

... Particularly those who aren't "productive enough" to have gotten healthcare and disability benefits through an employer. They'll point to private health/disability insurance, government employee benefits, and military benefits to claim they are taking care of people, but...

BREAKING: Alexander Vindman is LEADING against Republican incumbent Ashley Moody in Florida. If Democrats can win in Florida, they'll take back the House AND the Senate in November. This is amazing.

We need a new law, if this isn't already law: ALL SETTLEMENTS by any Dept or Agency of the Federal Govt MUST be reviewed by a court for Constitutionality and lawfulness. In Trump's lawsuit against the IRS, a judge questioned if the case was Constitutional. So the DoJ settled. How can they...

And there it is, folks. www.nytimes.com/live/2026/05...

@legaleagle.tv PLEASE FILE TO INTERVENE in the Jan 6th Lawsuits. Please raise the argument with the Court that the 14thA says, "But neither the United States nor any State shall assume or pay any debt or obligation incurred in aid of insurrection or rebellion against the United States"...

And that the events at the Capitol on Jan6 amounted to an insurrection against the United States, and that therefor the government is PROHIBTED from paying out any obligation, including damages for excessive force, and therefore the court MUST dismiss the case.

Trump and Hegseth have been calling what they've started in Iran not a war, but an "excursion". You know what an "excursion" is right? It's a loss of control over the reaction in a nuclear reactor. . .Seems an exceptionally appropriate metaphor. . #IranWar #Iran

@lizdye.bsky.social Can someone file a motion to intervene in the class action lawsuit in Florida by the Jan6 insurrectionists against the capitol police, to raise the argument that the plaintiffs seek monetary damages for alleged police excessive use of force that day, BUT, even if they were right

...the court is prohibited by the 14th Amendment from paying out any such award, because as the 14A says, "But neither the United States nor any State shall assume or pay any debt or obligation incurred in aid of insurrection or rebellion against the United States...", so therefor the case

One justification Trump recently gave for attacking Iran, killing thousands, including over a hundred school girls, is the Iran hostage crises, which ENDED in 1980. Question: How many decades will Venezuela and Iran be justified in lethally attacking back at America?
