Artist, former Green party member, electoral reform supporter, old git. Boycott Israel now! Remember, it worked on apartheid South Africa. Check every label. You probably don't buy their espionage software or blood diamonds, but you do buy fruit and veg.

So tell me, Donald, where the words Chemistry, Algebra, Zero, Cipher, Azimuth and Zenith originated? Oh, and why not keep the word Nadir for yourself? It fits you so well.

Reform punch way above their weight in terms of potential breaches of Parliamentary standards. Of the six current investigations, one is of the Leader of Reform, Farage; two of his deputy Tice; and one of an MP elected as Reform and now independent. The other two are Tory and DUP

The battle lines have been drawn up for a while: it's the global populace against the fascists and their oligarch enablers. And there's more of us - lots more of us - than there is of them. All we have to do is play by their absence of rules.

It will work for me and for anyone who uses as little gas as possible. For me, over a year, the standing fee is the greatest part of my bill

Burnham proposes plan to cut standing charges from gas bills The prime minister provided little detail, and there are questions over shifting the fees onto unit costs.

It's arguably the biggest tell that Trump doesn't think there's any way left for him to rig the November mid-terms that he's outsourcing the blame already. Doesn't mean he's not going to try every trick in the book, of course. www.straitstimes.com/world/united...

straitstimes.comTrump faults aides as Republican midterm prospects dimHe also is questioning campaign spending, faulting redistricting and second-guessing candidate choices. Read more at straitstimes.com.

The reason that Trump and his mobsters hate and fear James Talarico so much is that he is driven by principle. That makes him as alien and unintelligible to him as a mobile phone would be to a slug crawling on it

This is not the way to do it. I left the Greens after seven years because of this inane motion: but the pragmatics of council cooperation, especially when reining in Reform majorities, should not founder in order to force recantations. It's Witch Trial nonsense www.theguardian.com/politics/202...

I think we're all pleased that the tiger is not going to be euthanised for being a tiger. But of the guy who died - and it's still a tragedy - I'm going to ask the (possibly vicarious) question I suspect lots of us are wondering about: mental illness or substance abuse? news.sky.com/share/13598842

Oh dear. Trump's latest Barbie clone seems to have been, um, 'exaggerating' her qualifications. Normally, Trump wouldn't give a damn about her honesty; but taken in combination with her dismal first press showing, she's toast

Republicrat Gavin Newsom's place is in a museum. He'll never lead a Democrat party that's finally growing some balls/ovaries, because despite all his macho posturing, he doesn't have any himself. Yesterday's man calmatters.org/politics/202...

It's a bleak choice for Trump: failing to come to the aid of a nation that has paid him protection money and expects a ROI; or expanding on a second front, a war that domestic voters know he's already losing - and which would bring the US much closer to a land war www.npr.org/2026/10/10/n...

This is xenophobia, pure and simple. I have lived in Lawkholme, Keighley for 20years; an area that the Daily Mail, the Express and Katie Hopkins have all called a 'whites no go' area. That's just bollocks, written by people who are scared of difference www.theguardian.com/politics/202...

I've been in the Green party for six years now, but I will be cancelling my membership. 'Zionism is racism' is as simplistic and cruel a nonsense as is the modern definition of Zionism. The unconscionable support for nuclear fissile power and its 'bill it forward' legacy to our children is no better

Crikey, Enola Holmes is a bad film. I bailed at 40 mins. It's not the fault of Millie Bobby Brown: her performance is a bit arch, but that's exactly how she's written. But the plotting, the script - even the set dressing - anticipate the vacuity of AI content generation. There's just no there, there

You don't get many of these as a dilettante antique dealer. I bought this as a Victorian monocular. Got it home and realised that the walls were too thick. Eased it open to reveal a silver draw tube and a signature identifying it as a mid-18th C gentleman's telescope. A good day.
