Meta tried to suppress pro-Lula content for this election. Brazil needs to block this company from operating in their country to help slow the onset of fascism. Also, they should build their own, publicly-owned versions of Facebook, WhatsApp, and Instagram to replace Meta.

Controlled burns look dramatic from above: neat lines of fire inside firebreaks, smoke rising in columns. This planned fire clears dry brush so wildfires have less to feed on.

It’s a Fair Question….. “Why is it that it takes 900 years and 5000 impact studies to build high speed rail but a 5 minute city council meeting is all it takes to approve a massive data center?”

I think the Tories enjoy their roles as the villains and expect to be hated by the public. Labour find it unbelievable that anyone anywhere doesn't revere them as heroes, and have concluded everyone else in the country is evil.

If Andy Beshear does not push this to a conclusion that either has him appointing McConnell's replacement, or McConnell reappearing, Beshear will be out of Democratic politics. We need rabble-rousers, not the same quiet, proper Dems who keep losing.

Ken Paxton just denied our public information request for the Hoffman Files. Adam Hoffman — an admitted child molester — should be in prison, but Ken Paxton let him off the hook. Texans deserve to know why. We don’t need any more pedophile protectors in our government.

Assuming the Dems do take back the House ( and maybe the Senate), their first act should be to build a jail. Because unless they arrest the Republicans who blatantly ignore subpoenas, any actions they take will be completely performative.

You better believe we will take back the House, we will issue subpoenas, and we will continue to fight for justice. Full stop.

I’ve sometimes seen folks argue that only a few police are bad, that most are good. But if ‘good’ cops won’t call out bad cops, then there are no good cops.

And if anyone cares to do a couple of simple Internet searches, they will find that the DNC gave/gives money to Republican/Fascist candidates in elections where progressives are running as a (D). The Democrat party leadership is fully complicit with the greatest crimes in world history.

One observation I have about the Dem Party primary in-fighting is that a lot of the political operatives with proximity to the power center of the Dem Party seem to be incredulous as to why Americans organically don't like to support candidates being bribed by right-wing corporations and dark money.

Congress is Congress’ing again and it’s NOT looking great for students and borrowers. Last week, House Appropriators proposed more cuts to @usedgov. That + OBBBA will make paying for college even more expensive and risky. New blog from Mark Huelsman & Aissa Canchola Bañez👇

It seems like there might be a correlation between the Democrats tripping over themselves to never criticize their leaders and our leaders sucking ass all the time.

the reason people sometimes act madder at democrats than republicans when republicans do impossibly evil shit is the same reason why, if you hired an exterminator to handle a roach infestation and he showed up to feed and play with them instead, your first instinct wouldn’t be to yell at the roaches
