Politics (centre to centre-left), art, decency, fairness, climate, and truth. My mom and dad made me a liberal. Living through the convoy in Ottawa made me realize how right they were. New rule: DM me with β€œHey!” I’ll block you.

Rubio is claiming that they did not need Congress permission because it was a law enforcement mission. The US is behaving as a global police state, extending its own arbitrary legal decisions to the whole world. This is not a problem just for Venezuela.

The agreement *literally* includes a massive powerline -- the intertie between BC and Alberta -- that would enable the addition of more renewable energy on both sides of the border. C'mon, man.

The Guardian reports that the U.S. plan incl several lines that were certainly drafted in RU before being translated. In EN they sound unnatural and out of place. Example, 3rd point: β€œRussia is expected not to invade neighbouring countries, and NATO is expected not to expand further.”

Pipelines costs 1 to 2 million per kmh to build. Smiths 300 million in a best case scenario, would build 300 kmh. Oil and gas aren't stepping up to foot the rest of the bill, so 3 guesses who would have to pay, and who would be left with the debt. Protect healthcare, not Oil and gas with tax money.

In no uncertain terms, Ms Proudfoot in today’s @theglobeandmail.com justly calls out petulant piffleswipe Pierre Poilievre for the lies he tells about who’s at fault for the challenges πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦Canada faces. πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ™πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»

Kevin Page is the best of the best when it comes to speaking truth to power and to representing the highest standards of public service. If he says the Parliamentary Budget officer is wrong about the state of our nation's finances -you can take it to the bank. www.cbc.ca/news/politic...

Before nominations even opened in Edmonton's mayoral race, Tim Cartmell raised nearly half a million dollars β€” with half of that coming from sources tied to real estate, construction and development. How the development industry helped Cartmell get a head start: pressprogress.ca/how-developm...

Precisely this. Unless and until industry and Alberta put a real offer on the table -- full support for industrial carbon pricing and a decision to proceed with the Pathways project -- this conversation is over and the ball is in *their* court.

I'm genuinely flummoxed as to how anyone is talking about a "grand bargain" while the Alberta government and the oil industry is actively opposed to the federal carbon price on industrial emissions. www.cbc.ca/news/politic...

There's no excuse for the Vice President of the United States to use a heinous killing as an occasion to baselessly frame political opponents as accomplices to murder while threatening to use the power of the government to attack them. This dangerous rhetoric will only fan the flames.
