Corporations and billionaires don’t want you to know what political messages they are funding. That’s why they make the info so difficult to find. PaidForBy.info changes the game. It’s 100% free to use. Please check it out and spread the word!

It's difficult to pick apart fears about AI & data centers that are intrinsic to the technologies vs. those that are connected to the fact that giant, fateful decisions about these things are being made by a small handful of insular brain-cooked oligarch narcissists.

Living in Sweden during the election season is very fun for a politics-wonk. Eight parties (in parliament), all putting up posters and sending us extensive literature every week. The local Liberals support SMRs, and this random dude hates wind & the EU & NATO

If you missed the boat on pre-ordering, the good news is now you can buy it without the wait 😀

We did it! “The Nerd Reich” is a New York Times Instant Bestseller! My book debuts at #3 on the non-fiction list. Thanks to all who pre-ordered /bought the book—or requested it at the public library or promoted it on social. Without you, I’m just an unemployed guy with a laptop. But with you…

Asking for a friend: anyone know where to find Overnight Construction Cost for three nuclear reactors in South Korea: SAEUL-2, SHIN-HANUL-1, SHIN-HANUL-2. They were completed in 2019, 2022, and 2024. Any leads?

Note that they turn the turbine off while people are inside, but as soon as the last of us stepped out, they fired it back up... and it was a little unsettling to stand underneath.

My favorite party trick in Sweden is to tell people how much we paid monthly for daycare in the the U.S., followed by how much paid parental leave we got 😂

"They include Midwestern small-business owners—architects, financial advisers and engineers—saving on healthcare costs by living seven time zones east of their clients. Middle-aged divorcées are looking for a fresh start and Americans on disability or social security are trying to stretch benefits."

It is just a wild time to be an American living in Scandinavia 😬https://www.forbes.com/sites/mikestunson/2026/01/20/greenland-prime-minister-says-military-invasion-cant-be-ruled-out-live-updates/

That's not "cool", that's a tragedy. U.S. has maternal mortality twice the rate of the average high-income country. Of course you have a bunch of dudes shrugging it off, then asking why women don't have more babies.

Dr Oz: "Alabama has no OBGYNs in many of their counties, so they're doing something pretty cool. They're actually having robots do ultrasounds on these pregnant moms."

Look, I think ALARA should have been reformed, but the timing of this announcement is pretty unfortunate, to say the least. Will not engender public trust in nuclear going forward...
