seeing someone say "it doesn't have any onion, just onion powder" bro I'm about to blow your mind

sometimes I find myself doing the Theresa May walk, this is a subtle reference to the fact that I hate poor people

crazy that I'm more closely related to a gecko than a gecko is to a newt

Ok then, go bend some bananas you fuck

there's a special feeling in seeing some project that looks interesting, joining the discord to find the answer to a question about it, just to see the dev announced not even 24 hours before that they're quitting working on it fuck

seeing people call something that was never actually released (nor even shown to have ever been even partially completed) "lost media" really does my head in the concept of vaporware is being forgotten

funny how many rather shitty cultural norms which are treated as immutable fact and Just How Things Are And Always Have Been™ that only came about in the last 100 years

ah, thanks google, I mean that's not exactly what I searched but okay

why do chuds suddenly appear every time I act queer just like me, they long to be inside some dude

recently I've been bumping into a number of people who use the term "traditional animation" to mean digital ink & paint (as opposed to 3D/CGI) rather than cel animation and every time it ages me another 25 years

Dick??? You mean like, penis????

man what on earth is going on when you get a random sharp pain in a complete nonsense part of the body oof ow my zygomatic arch is hurting, like what the fuck are you even doing

it's genuinely so funny seeing people who haven't been away from the internet more than 12 hours in the last 15 years say that milquetoast status quo boring suckass man and the guy who literally assassinated the leader of a sovereign country in peacetime are equally bad lmao

it's funny when an older song you like and listen to gets used in some fuckass show or movie you've never heard of because you get put on the roulette wheel of strangers accusing you of either being a fake fan of the song or of being a real fan of the media

man I love every time some new "privacy concern" vulnerability comes around and people talk about how it can be used to spy on you then you read the CVE and it requires physical access and root and flashing modded firmware and–

HAPPY INTERNATIONAL BI VISIBILITY DAY

"it's basic biology" mfers crying and shitting their pants learning about the 8 kingdoms of prokaryotes

approximately 85% of what's wrong with Early Access for games is gamers being too illiterate to read the massive warning that says "NOT FINISHED, DO NOT BUY" then being surprised when it's not finished

one of the worst things about the internet now is you can't even make up a ridiculous strawman for humor purposes without accidentally vagueposting about some Mr. Shit you've never heard of before

concern trolls for healthiness of food preparations are legit so damn funny you say you juiced some fruits, and get someone saying "you're throwing away the most nutritious part" shit you're right, I did that extra effort all on accident, not because I specifically wanted juice

An INDIVIDUAL can maybe say who their faves are. "These are the ten best novels I read this year" and even "of the ten THIS ONE is my favorite" sure. "Spiders Georg, author of The Spider Cookbook, scientifically the best writer in English of all time" is just not possible.

it's honestly so funny when you see media where they have characters wearing a qipao/cheongsam to evoke old imperial China because that particular style didn't come about until the 1910's it'd be like setting something in Tudor England and people wearing zoot suits and flapper dresses

takes a very special mind to accuse a studio of "retconning" because they ignored fan-extrapolated lore theories

imagine the world where horse armor released a couple days later and parrots on the internet instead blamed Rare or Crystal Dynamics for "inventing microtransactions"

it's always cool having that one friend who likes and knows about all these weird obscure terrible pieces of media until you learn that it's because their taste is legitimately awful and those're the only things they like never meet your heroes or something

Where Are The Games About Politics?

That is the world these sons of bitches want to take us back to with their "it's all overdiagnosis and fakery" gaslighting.

the most annoying person you've ever met: if an anti-war film is good, it's a bad anti-war film because someone might think it's cool because of it

still mystified by the popularity of "I am currently or imminently will be cheated on or cucked" songs in country music

getting paid is immaterial, if I'm doing it for the love of the game I'm an amateur regardless

before you get annoyed at someone using some slang or new terminology, just remember we're only a bit over a century removed from when people would get indignant and upset over the idea of saying "hello" to greet someone

having a pet misheard lyric and years later looking the song up and realizing those are the actual words

someone should make a game where 95% of the content is level gated, but the xp requirements for levels go by exponential decay. 150 hours to go from level 1 to 2, but one single fetch quest takes you from 50 to the cap at 300

listening to a viewer email in a podcast and nodding, agreeing with them, forgetting until they thanked the sender that it was you who sent it a few months ago

don't you love when you bang a limb into something and it takes a full 3 seconds before your brain deigns to inform you that, in fact, it didn't hurt

maybe, just perhaps, ideas on economic structures shouldn't start with metaphysical first principles

who hurt you, why would you do this

man with 5 second functional memory terrifies self (got home and took wallet out of pocket then 10 seconds later freak out because my wallet isn't in my pocket)

there's a special sort of confusion looking at the people complaining about projectiles being hitscan in the steam patch notes of a scifi game where 95% of the guns are lasers what, are you telling me you think you can side-step faster than light?

napped and dreamt that the hot new talking point among the nigh-mentally-ill paranoid security enthusiasts was that browsers saving your history (locally) is spyware the worst part is I'm almost certain there's someone out there saying this for real right now :(
