None of this year's science Nobel Prizes have gone to women. The number of these prizes to go to women remains at 27 out of more than 600. See how many you can name in our quiz: www.nature.com/immersive/d4...

1/n New paper! In collaboration with Angela Gronenborn's lab, we solved the crystal structures of 2 bicycle proteins. They share some similarity to saposins, but are clearly not saposins. Instead, this stable backbone provides a platform for crazy diversity of form and surface chemistry.

This has originally developed out of a thought along the lines of: "What can you do if you only manage to get weak fluorescence signals?" A short explaining thread 🧵

New Preprint! We use #AFM and CarboTag-based #FLIM to describe rapid cell wall mechanisms of Phytosulfokines & Brassinosteroids and investigate how these processes are initiated on the nanoscale by using #sptPALM! PS: This is also the main story of my PhD project😊✌🏻 www.biorxiv.org/content/10.6...

The lab of @elkebarbez.bsky.social strikes again 👇 Cell wall charge acts as a tunable electrostatic gate controlling iron availability in roots. Really nice work linking extracellular physics with nutrient homeostasis.

Hey #2025ISMPMI! 🌱 We ofcourse all aim to do great & successful science! However, it doesn't always work out the way we hope, but we rarely hear about those stories.. So let's change that! Find me at my poster P-102 on Tuesday and let's discuss "failed" science, and what we can still learn from it!
