there are a lot of queer spaces that sell alcohol and are places for cruising, but there should be other queer spaces you know? like a place where no matter where you are in the world you can make it your home and join the pharmaceutical institute on the mobile landship that also has a paramilitary

I actually literally do not think they realize what they've done here. Sonic isn't just a game with fans. It's basically embedded in the fabric of the internet. Since I clicked the link ten minutes ago, two THOUSAND more people joined. And it only has five channels to post in and four moderators.

I was tempted to pirate HP, curiosity and all that. But @jessiegender.bsky.social is right - think of the amount of times HBO commented on GOT leaks and downloads, just as an example. They DO track these things, and even that drives interest. Let this show die. Trans people deserve better.

Real talk, why half of the remaining games media is in Japan this week but no one can ever find a Japanese dev, consultant, journo or researcher to talk about Japan? Especially when we then get these experts who ignore the well-know fact that Japan has laws which make firing people extremely hard.

Why do Japanese studios suffer fewer layoffs? Because they have smaller teams and don't pay their execs $30m, says one expert. https://bit.ly/4rfqTRG

Good to have a reminder every once in a while. It's easy to do, and the problem is likely to get worse. So make it a habit.

This news is important because all the fucks out there actively attempting to wreck the world want you to think that the work is hopeless and just mitigating the worst case scenario. It's not. Fucking keep going.
