Just found a budget package of the first six Tower of Power albums, including this banger... For someone who plays either bass or drums, these albums are just master classes in what to do.

In the Court of the Crimson King. As far as debut prog LPs go, this is one of the best. Giles' drumming. Lake's vocals. And especially Fripp's guitar. Quite ambitious songcraft. Unforgettable title track and Schizoid Man. And that cover art. My parents hated it but I always thought it was awesome.

I've been parceling out the 2nd season of "A Thousand Blows" because I don't want it to end. Kudos to @oispooky.bsky.social for the historical research, Dawn Buckland and David Ismalone for choreography, and Shaheen Baig for the casting.

Why is the stupidest man in the world impoverishing the most vulnerable to enrich himself and his "friends"? I don't actually believe he has friends. I think most of his cronies consider him a useful idiot.

If we had to come up with the most overused word of 2025, I'd vote for "iconic". "Unhinged" comes a close second but there were certainly a lot of cases where that was the proper word to use.

Some days I feel like every call I make to my representatives is the equivalent of shouting into a deep dark well. Not giving up, but I do realize it's time for a nap. Fuck ICE.
