#TreehouseOfHorror XXX had a lovey omen opener, marking their 666th episode, though the three actually episodes were a tad on the weak side. I think when they realised there were more twilight zone concepts than horror films they should have changed the name.

So apparently season 27 of the simpsons had 2 halloween episodes. The first one, a vanilla episode was actually a highlight for late series simpsons, while the #treehouseofhorror episode was another… meh

#TreehouseOfHorror 17… And after yesterday’s stinker, an absolute gem! War of the worlds, tales from the crypt , The Blob and 1920s expressionist horror. Very heavily leaning on “Danny Elfman wrote our theme too”, but excellent. One of my favourite Kang and Kodos moments too 🫀🧠

Could have been great, but just generally phoned in This seems to be where the shark was not only jumped, but does in the tank. But, the gifs are back

#Treehouseofhorror 14 was… not bad. Again, drawing on Twilight Zone more than horror, (A kind of a stopwatch), but the real horror… no giffable moments!

One of the spookiest characters in wuxia is Mei Chaofeng, aka Iron Corpse, from Condor Heroes, who kills by penetrating people's skulls with her bare hands. I'll always have a soft spot for Man-Wai Wong's 1983 portrait. One the most remarkable renditions comes from 20 years later. #spooktober 1/
