I have been dealing with a lot of physical issues, and am at one of the lowest points in my life because of it. This story gave me another reason to hang on. There's still beauty in the world.

There was a point in my life I didn't understand the words rape culture, popular Boogeyman term at one point, oddly, if not still, I didn't understand how truly pervasive it was and still is. Everything is weighted to excuse them, to show it isn't a big deal, you can do it too, no problem.

I gave up on my local community when I asked that, for our teams community action program, we have sit down meetings as well as cookouts because me, and people like me, can't handle the noise and standing long term. I was accused of wanting to take away their cookouts, rather than adding something.

After days upon days of seeing people telling us that we need to suck it up and vote for transphobes in the US because "it's about everyone not just you" seeing vocal support feels nice.

I'm a disabled trans person. Invisible because of my disability, and equally visible only because I chose to live my actual life to those who have, and seek power. I saw the cracks years ago in the system that's already let me down so, so often. Being sold out still fucking stings, every time.

Vaccines are incredibly important and you should absolutely use this method. I just ask that everyone be aware that by doing so, there's a chance they close what you see as a loophole and I see as the thing that means I get the vaccines I need without having to prove it. Just keep it in mind.
