Afterwards, Sen. Padilla framed what happened in exactly the right way: "If this is how the Department of Homeland Security responds to a senator with a question...I can only imagine what they're doing to farmworkers, to cooks, to day laborers, in Los Angeles & throughout California & the country."

I know, norms and all that, but the default Dem position should be: We think this is illegal but if the courts say you can do this then we are going to rip the guts out of the entire conservative movement. No more Heritage, FedSoc, etc. All of them lose their tax exempt status.

* TRUMP: WE ARE GOING TO BE TAKING AWAY HARVARD'S TAX EXEMPT STATUS @reuters.com

Then he can pay with all of the money Trump is going to make him. No one is saying people should not drive in Manhattan— taxpayers just don’t want to subsidize your whiney ass driving in the city

Duffy: "She wants to take people off the road and she's taxing people to do it, raising money for the subway system in New York. But then, to put people in the subway -- the subway is dirty! There's violence. There's criminals. It's not safe ... By the way, I like freedom. Let me drive my car."

Steve Kerr: "I believe in academic freedom. I think it's crucial for all of our institutions to be able to handle their own business the way they want to. And they should not be shaken down and told what to teach, what to say, by our government. That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard."

Steve Kerr wore a Harvard basketball shirt after the Warriors’ win tonight: “Yes, this is me supporting Harvard. Way to go. Way to stand up to the bully.”

The most prominent discussion in the country right now is how literally everyone and their mother is upset with Democrats but party leadership still can’t find anything in themselves to take an ounce of ownership or accountability. Feels like complete gaslighting.

"I certainly do not see a party in disarray," a hoarse Gerry Connolly says in his first national media appearance this month. "We're in great shape."

Jon Stewart asks why Democratic leaders think they need better messaging rather than better policies. House Leader Hakeem Jeffries replies their solution is "making the American people feel that we understand the pain that they've been in" — the exact thing Stewart was criticizing!

Facebook pays Trump $25M in trollsuit it functionally won when the identical suit against Twitter got tossed. The argument here was that FB/YT/X were acting *as the government* and thus violated Trump's 1stAmend rights when they deplatformed him after J6. It's a bribe. www.wsj.com/us-news/law/...

With many VA universities having <90% of students voting Democrat this month, it’s clear how integral a role young people will play in 2024. The party should pump money into local Young Dem chapters across the country to ensure they can turn out as many students as possible if they want to win.

You are up to date.
