gonna try to set the deadline for myself of Lysithea’s next birthday (feb 28th). i’ve been leaning towards waiting til the whole thing is finished to post it, but i think if i’m not done by then that’ll be when i start posting what i have at least 🙂

she’s often working in tandem with her older brother, Nikandros. Pherenike is the sadistic one who really loves doing horrible things to humans, while Nikandros is pretty much entirely amoral, just a mad scientist type these two + Solon were all in the Room Where It Happened with the experiments.

i’ve never really been the type to insert my own characters into fantasy settings, but Fódlan really makes it so easy, and it’s just kinda happened naturally as i write about it. i’m more motivated than ever to get back to my very long ShezLys fic i’m really gonna do it it’s gonna happen 🫡

related, i haven’t put much thought into character details for Lysithea’s siblings, but in my mind there were two, and the names i’ve given them are Valerie and Lonterio i get almost all of my extra names from the mercenary lists in Unicorn Overlord. great repository of names for fantasy settings.

now for the villains, cause i don’t find Solon interesting enough and also cause i needed villains that dont die during Golden Wildfire. Pherenike is one that i’ve referenced in at least one thing i’ve posted so far, who will be much more featured in the longer one still in progress.

has been Lysithea’s closest friend as far back as either of them can remember. they were the only survivors of the Agarthan experiments, as they left after succeeding with Lysithea and Valerie was the only one left, and she had therefore been next in line should they have failed one more time

Sithy isn’t one for hierarchy and really sees Valerie just as a friend rather than a subordinate even if she’s technically her maid, but Val worships the Ordelia family and is thrilled just to be serving them. her name comes from Lysithea’s older sister, who of course died in the crest experiments.

first up, Valerie, the protag of the second fic here the daughter of the old Count Ordelia’s chief of staff, a young trans girl who’s been Lysithea’s personal assistant since they were both very small, like Hubert was to Edelgard. but with less of the murder. a few months younger than Sithy.

with Shez being from Ordelia territory, it makes sense for her to spend more time there after the war… which is the excuse she uses to make sure Claude lets her be there as much as possible. Shez isn’t really one for noble life, but the Ordelias have been through too much to particularly care

i’ve read + written different versions of Lysithea good endings (more to come!) and i don’t really have one specific idea of how that goes that i consider like “canon” or whatever, but i do think it’s Linhardt who figures it out sidenote, Lin is always nonbinary in my fics. just makes sense to me.

once she does figure it out, i think Lysithea’s very much a lesbian. probably demisexual as well. Shez meanwhile is the epitome of a chaos bisexual. and we love that for her.

i think them getting together is a gradual process; Lysithea starts to intentionally spend more time around Shez towards the end of the war and starts not only falling in love with her, but finding her presence very comforting with all the chaos going on around them

since i’ve had these two on my mind even more than usual i’m just gonna put some of my random thoughts about them here i think they don’t really interact much at all pre-skip cause on the rare occasion they do, Lysithea probably just tells Shez to leave her alone while she studies or whatever

their in game supports pretty much show Shez being Lysithea’s gay awakening the way the Edelys ones are in Houses (Sithy’s supports with Mercedes sorta help confirm this too), but i don’t think she thought she was straight before, she just never really thought about it
