Italian government always screeches about how cool the roman empire was, how they want to go back to that, make AI videos of their politicians in roman garbs executing left wingers, bht then when a young woman honors the old roman gods in a proper manner. They go "uh... mods? Mods? She is scaring me

Daily Italian! In Rome, there are many feral cats, and the locals love them. Say: “Tutti i gatti sono belli.” Means: “All Cats Are Beautiful” Local tradition to ‘graffiti’ the acronym to attract cats. Try it in English!

Those Italian official are pearl clutchin dweebs. Its not even the original statue, its a replica, and it is in no way damaged, the fuck does it matter? And thats not even taking into account THIS IS EXACTLY HOW YOU HONOR BACCHUS.

Ya think? “Florence City Hall said the tourist had not been identified yet and suggested that she was ‘presumably in a state of inebriation.’”

Ordinarily I would criticize the HELL out of anyone showing such a display towards cultural artifacts. But we *are* talking about Bacchus so it somehow feels whole justified in this particular case...

“Put your hands up or we’ll open fire! You’re under arrest! No, not up that way! Put your hands on your head. No, not that way. I need your palms touching the hair on the top of your head. No not that way!”

Down the street they eat the flesh and blood of a dude tortured to death by being hung on a diy tree, then expect you to pay a tithe for the privledge. Compared to that, this is appropriate and respectful diety worship.

Where did she manage to stand? (Asking for a friend.) And it's a good thing the statue was well anchored, otherwise it would have fallen on top of her, and not in the fun kind of way, when she climbed on it.
