In true Ukrainan fashion, The "Epicenter" store in Pochayna, which was hit by a Russian attack, continues to operate—it was attacked just on October 22nd. The strengh of Ukrainians to not kowtow to daily misery is inspiring.

In Kyiv, the voltage is so low that escalators have turned to stairs due to power outages. There is a general warning to stay out of elevators as well.

Ukrainian soldiers use carts to quickly move along large-diameter oil pipelines in the Kupiansk direction. As you can tell from their faces, it is awful, messy work. But traveling via an abandoned oil pipeline is still safer than trying to cross open terrain. Russia uses these as underground bases.

The police stop the bus, and then they conduct a check, including verifying documents. If someone has any issues, that person is removed from the bus and put into a van. Such forced mobilizations show that corrupt police who abuse their power exist in every nation, sadly.

This has further angered Kyiv's population, when were already angry about the city's lack of sheltered and preparations for the coming harsh winter. It's very likely that Klitchsko, Kyiv's mayor, will lose his job soon (and rightly so).

In Ukraine, the system to defer military recruitment due to being, for example, a father to a young child, is under maintenance this weekend. In Kyiv, government "recruiters" are taking this opportunity to conduct raids on public transportation in search of military-age men.

‼️🇺🇦 Zelensky: You can't just impose sanctions and then lift them because winter is difficult. You sanction oil but not gas, natural gas but not LNG, petrol but not diesel. Then you sanction diesel and lift sanctions. You sanction chemicals, then say it's difficult for farmers without fertilizers.

Glad to see more coverage of this. Starlink connectivity is still not restored in Ukraine, making the Armed Forces of Ukraine sitting ducks for Russian drones. This doesn't just affect front line soldiers, it affects the entire logistics of the war throughout Ukraine. A knife in the back, indeed.

Imagine the American outrage if F-35s stopped working over China because the CEO of Lockheed Martin wanted to do a political favor for a buddy, resulting in 1) Americans dying and 2) China getting its hands on the latest jet model. Because that's exactly what Musk is doing with drone technology.

Fucking assholes.
