In aviation we have a tool called FORDEC for decision-making, e.g. in an emergency. 📄 Facts: Lay out the facts of what is happening 🤷‍♂️ Options: What options do I have? 💥Risks: What risk does either options entail? 🤔 Decision: Decide which option you are going to go with Continue in replies 👇

🕹️ Execute: Execute the option you chose ✅ Check: Keep verifying if the option you took is still valid during execution. If not, start from the top. This is something that we can apply in almost any scenario, like when production goes down.

I hate being family tech support. Yesterday I had to drive 2 hours to install a printer. Today, the wifi apparently has an issue 😭

As always it was a pleasure hanging out with the vue community in amsterdam, and that has absolutely nothing to do with them bribing me with coffee...

The issue with the concept of replacing all developers with AI is that we won't have anyone to develop the tooling and programming languages. So what, we are just gonna sit on JavaScript and Python forever and never improve upon it?

It's like in hardware... you can buy a kit to build your own [whatever hardware]. Yet there are still many people that have jobs in low-level electronics.

🎄 On the twelfth day of coding, my project gave to me... Twelve deadlines looming, Eleven logs a-spamming, Ten servers crashing, Nine devs debugging, Eight dependencies breaking, Seven PRs pending, Six tests a-failing,

AI is improving but hasn't yet replaced developers. I don't buy into fear-mongering. If businesses take months to decide on a feature, replacing developers with AI will take much longer. That time might come, but it's far off.

First time I had the option to reserve an antire row in a flight. My seat + 2 other seats next to it. That’s the dream 🤩

I can’t believe this is probably an hot take 🌶️ , but: When did everyone become so sensible and short-fused? We can and should have DIFFERENT OPINIONS and be chill about it 👇

If someone thinks genderfluid language is important because representation matters for them, that’s great! If someone thinks genderfluid language is less intuitive and confusing, that’s great!

But none of the sides should represent the other as lunatics. And this applies to any hot topic nowadays. We should just all calm tf down and respect each other’s opinions

Starting in January, I would be open for some consultancy / freelance work. If anyone needs an extra set of eyes 👀 or hands 🙌 on their project, let me know.

Developers who add the trailing slash to the base URL for API calls are evil. I can't be the only one who thinks that this is the only way. ❌ `${baseUrl}users ✅ `${baseUrl}/users`

Me when upper management fights among themselves about what the requirements *should* have been, after development is done

Do people that complain about the position of the power button on the new Mac Mini, also complain about the position of the reset button on wifi routers? Because it’s the same fucking thing!

How do you feel about voice messages? I shared a post on Twitter, and people were not really okay with it 😅 Answer with: ❤️ Love them 😡 Hate them 🤷‍♂️ No strong opinion
