The ongoing stormy weather here in the UK has unfortunately put the YouTube explorations of London's Magnificent Seven cemeteries on hold, including the planned Halloween special at Highgate Cemetery. In the meantime, I'm thinking of recording a new episode of Thelema 101, and I'd like your input.

What topics would you actually like to see unpacked? What aspects of Thelema have always puzzled you, or do you think deserve a proper explanation beyond the usual introductory material? Let me know in the comments. I'm curious to see what you'd like me to tackle next!

What nobody tells you about spiritual practice in middle age is the apathy. The ‘why bother?’ aspect, as the goal is revealed as goalless, the idea of a regimen of disciplined meditation or ritual looks more and more like a waste of ever diminishing time and energy.

Apparently, energy bills could rise by as much as £400 a year in January. Because, of course. Nous can help you look for a better deal. I'm an affiliate, so clicking my link also supports my work: www.nous.co/assistant?ut... With subscriptions dwindling, that genuinely makes a difference.

Two new things at vinepress.co.uk the Lost Occult Books of Victor Neuburg: these ltd-ed silkscreen prints of a drawing Austin Osman Spare made in 1915; & a zine of Neuburg's long-lost Sussex writing, incl this piece on English fairy lore, to go free with every book if we meet our stretch target!

151 YEARS YOUNG! 🎂🔥 Happy Crowleymas to those who celebrate it. Incidentally, this is NOT one of the Thelemic Holy Days prescribed in Liber AL vel Legis.

Babalon isn't your secret mystical girlfriend or mother figure, she won't validate you or suck you off or satisfy your need for validation, and she is definitely not some idealised feminine archetype. She is indifferent to your hopes and desires, and only dances for the dances sake, not for you.

Both books are currently on offer on Amazon UK, and the newest (and better!) one is also on offer on Amazon US at a staggering 45% discount If you are still looking for a physical copy and want a great deal, now is the time!

Being bitter about the work of other is not a default writer setting, it is a choice. A bloody awful choice. Don’t do it kids. It withers your soul and the rest of us get bored hearing about it.

Magicians, witches, neopagans... here's your annual reminder of the actual Equinox date, as well as the fact that "Mabon" is a Welsh divine figure that has nothing to do with it.

Small mercies: after being dropped from Ed Sheeran’s "Loop Tour," Macklemore pledged his full $1 million earnings to six Palestinian relief organisations (including PCRF and HEAL Palestine) and challenged billionaire stadium owner Robert Kraft (who pressured promoters to remove him) to match it.

In a surprising pivot, Kraft announced that he and Ed Sheeran would each donate $2 million toward humanitarian aid in the region. As of today, they still haven't named the recipients of their donations, which makes it a little icky, of course.

All in all, this is almost a net positive: a tour of shitty music collapsed, resulting in $5 million total pledged to humanitarian relief for Palestinians. And the world spotlight on the real issue.

Today is the anniversary of both the birth and death of Andrew D. Chumbley, the original Magister of the Cultus Sabbati and one of the most interesting occult artists of the modern era.

"Marco, I thought I would see you at [Insert British/European Occult Conference], why weren't you there?" Because I stopped going to events organised by genocide-denying zionists, "sex realists", conspiracy theorists, and/or people who have no qualms about working with these types.

I am seeing a "Christian Witch" beginning to get an algorithmic push on social media, and I am old enough to remember the "ChristoWicca" of the early 00s. 🧵⬇️

It's almost as if serious hardship requires most people to delegate their emotional and psychological balance to the same higher power worshipped by the very status quo that creates the instability. A sort of turbocapitalist-charged Stockholm Syndrome. 🔚

This is, of course, on the tail of the TikTok influencer AlexReadsTarot rebranding herself as full-blown Evangelical, or most of the visible Rosicrucian/Golden Dawn milieu going fully reactionary, "anti-woke", pro-MAGA, etc. (you know the names; they always were...) ⬇️
