“Trump’s interpretation of American history” We’re filling embracing the censorship and book burning now

Kyle Griffin@kylegriffin1.bsky.social

BREAKING WSJ: The Trump White House plans to conduct a far-reaching review of Smithsonian museum exhibitions, materials and operations ahead of America's 250th anniversary to ensure the museums align with "Trump's interpretation of American history." www.wsj.com/politics/pol...

He’s literally saying “of course I would use my position to make money. No one wants to be poor!” 💀

GOP Senator objects to bill banning congressional stock trading: Anybody want to be poor? I don't. This idea that we're gonna attack people because they make money is wrong. It's disgusting what is going on here. This is an attack against the president, and an attack against the vice president

Among the guests at Bove’s confirmation party was Jeffrey Clark. In 2023, Clark was criminally charged alongside Bove’s former client, Donald Trump, for their alleged efforts to overturn the 2020 election. Today, DC Bar regulators recommended that Clark be disbarred. bsky.app/profile/anna...

Last night, Emil Bove celebrated his confirmation as a federal appeals court judge at Butterworth’s, the MAGA hot spot in D.C. The Article III Project hosted the party, with guests including Steve Bannon, Jack Posobiec, Judge Jeanine, Todd Blanche, Chad Mizelle, Ed Martin, and Jeffrey Clark.

Trump’s federal prosecutor in LA can’t seem to get grand juries to indict protestors. I’m gonna guess it’s because there are no crimes. This debunks the “massive increase in assaults” claim, as well as the claims that LA is “lawless”, or that the national guard is necessary.

Aaron Reichlin-Melnick@reichlinmelnick.bsky.social

Incredible. Federal prosecutors are seeing many cases of people accused of assaulting Border Patrol agents being turned down by grand juries! Los Angeles federal prosecutors are privately saying it’s because CBP agents are just “arresting first and asking questions later.”

Absolutely surreal to watch White House reporters ask Leavitt questions about tariffs moments after she and Gabbard used this briefing to baselessly accuse Obama of crimes punishable by death. We’re a sick joke of a country.

CNN: The Wall Street journal is reporting that in May, AG Pam Bondi and her deputy informed the president at a meeting in the white house that his name was in the Epstein files.

JUST IN: For the fourth time, a federal judge has barred the Trump administration from imposing a 15% limit on indirect cost rates for federal research — this time at the Pentagon.

I can’t believe we have to prove he drew pictures. Of course he did. To claim he never drew pictures ever in his 79 years of living is insane.

'“I never wrote a picture in my life. I don’t draw pictures of women,” Trump said in an interview Tuesday... Trump, however, has made multiple drawings over the years; at least four were publicly auctioned off during his first term as president.' {gift link} wapo.st/44CSxi1

If my taxes don’t pave my roads or fix my bridges or keep my schools open 5 days a week or pay local teachers a living wage or help keep my hospital open or help my neighbor’s kid eat lunch or fund public television or my healthcare… Why the f’ck should I pay taxes?

This is amazing. Yesterday Trump claimed he talked to his uncle about how brilliant the Unabomber was when the Unabomber was a student of his at MIT. The Unabomber never went to MIT, he was identified in 1996, and his uncle died in 1985.

you genuinely have to admire his brain. getting hammered 24/7 on Epstein? better fabricate a personal link to the Unabomber, specifically mentioning one of the prestigious universities where Epstein peddled his influence

I'm soaking it all up. All the celebrating. The victory lapping. The high-fiving. The dancing. All the Republicans crowing that they "won," when all they did was give billionaires a tax break at the expense of poor people's Medicaid and food assistance. They are applauding pain. REMEMBER THIS.

Protecting his stock portfolio while ripping away health care from 17 million Americans. This is Washington at its worst. We need to ban Congressional stock trading.

Iranian government officials in a phone call said that the U.S. military strikes against its nuclear facilities were not as damaging or extensive as they had expected, further undermining the Trump administration’s narrative that they were “completely and totally obliterated.”

If the Supreme Court thinks universal injunctions are unconstitutional, to wait until *now* to say that, in this of all cases, with this of all presidents, is a devastating indictment of both its impartiality and its prudence.

Again, the GOP majority of the SC issues a wishy washy decision that gives Trump more power but doesn’t solve anything. They came to a decision about the federal courts REACTION to Trump’s birthright citizenship suspension BEFORE a decision about whether he has the executive authority to do so.

Breaking: In a 6-3 ruling, the conservative justices just ruled that nationwide injunctions likely exceed the authority Congress has given the courts. In doing so, the Court is narrowing nationwide injunctions that blocked Trump's executive order ending birthright citizenship.

ICE forces U.S. Army Purple Heart veteran to deport—after taking 2 bullets in combat. Sae Joon Park "miraculously" survived being shot in spine—then given 3 weeks to deport to South Korea. Will miss dying mother's funeral—then his daughter's wedding. Was legally in U.S. under deferred action.

Happened with Kamala too. Money is not the deciding factor.
