This is the sort of muted response that might be uttered in our house when I get off a lengthy and frustrating call with customer support at our service provider.
β‘οΈUS resumes intel sharing on Russian missile launches with Ukraine, Zelensky says. The U.S. provides Ukraine with intelligence to help its military detect and track Russian missile launches. Zelensky said the issue had been resolved and thanked Washington for restoring intelligence sharing.
The world consumes about 100milion barrels of oil per day. 30% is converted to diesel. So 30mln barrels per day. there are about 7,5 barrels to a ton (SI units). So 4M tons of diesel pd. 300k/4,000 = 7.5% of 1 DAY, all in a whole month! That's 0.25% uptick in Oct. Art of the fukken deal, Dozie Donny
How much money is the American taxpayer sending to Putin for this? This is revolting.

@greatgramsofgary.bsky.social Gibbles the cat could be related if he wasn't in South Africa.
One wonders if one of the points in the USA plan to Iran doesn't involve the Straight of Hormuz being renamed after Donald Trump? It wouldn't even be surprising with this bunch of clowns. Outrageous, yes; surprising, no.
I wake up to news this morning that Trump wanted to rename Gulf of Mexico to Gulf of Trump. Aids, by some miracle, talked him down from that ledge. I am certain that in the next 100 days, he will float the idea of renaming Greenland to β Trumpland β Trumptopia β Trumpsylvania β Trumpastan β Trumpico
Spoiler: Thiel is still a libertarian. He aims for governments and their interference to be dwarfed by corporations and their Boards.
Whatβs the deal with Peter Thiel? dailyfriend.co.za/2026/04/28/w... (My latest column. How did Peter Thiel, once a libertarian seeking escape from democratic socialism, come to build the tools of state coercion?)
"Rogue" seems quaint for what USA does habitually. USA has, for my whole lifetime, been a war-mongering terrorist nation. Every nation ever threatening to sell their oil in anything other than USD has been attacked, and had its leaders murdered. USAID won't paper over this one.
People say Trump has no war strategy, but his strategy is quite clearly a criminal one of destroying Iran's civilian infrastructure (and killing a bunch of people in the process) unless they capitulate. We -- the United States of America -- are a rogue state and global pariah.

At first reading, I wasn't surprised because it may well have been Trump.
Touching speech earlier by Donald Trump about the death of Jesse Jackson. He recalled first seeing him introduced with his brothers by Diana Ross on the TV show 'The Hollywood Palace.' He went on to say how devastated he was when Michael went solo and the band split up.
I looked up "Zuma" and "Hersov" in the Epstein files because they're topical in South Africa. There were no salacious sexual details, but the casual vacuousness of back and forth emails is astounding. Paraphrasing: "Zuma was more engaging and entertaining than I expected". Subtext: "for a black"
I wasn't disappointed by their lack of ethics, I expected that. The lack of any kind of intelligence or cool, the fatuousness, the vapidity, the dumb bigotry, the smug ignorance, the complete and total nothingness of them. That's the real disappointment.

Trump wants Greenland. Not for national security, it's minerals, it's people, its proximity to the Arctic Circle, or its sheer size. Trump wants Greenland because the first POTUS has a state named after him, and he wants to sandwich American history with a state named after the last POTUS.
youtu.be/NQyN4X0sFdA?... This guy was right about USA and its President then. The same and more applies today. How many of today's world leaders have the backbone to stand up to USA Imperialism today? The silence is deafening.

Real test cricket in India. Very unlike the crap dealt up in Perth on Friday and Saturday. Upside: I don't have to run 2 streams today.
Jasprit Bumrah doing what he does best, dismantling the stumps of lower-order batters He cleans up Simon Harmer, but fails to get a hand to a half-chance at a return catch from Jansen that would have finished the innings 467-9 #INDvsSA
I'm not sure what Ivo's part 2 will look like, but this first part has a spotlessly clean mirror for Trump's America. Read this excellent essay if you have ever wondered what exactly fascism is.
What is fascism, and is Trumpβs America it? (Part 1) dailyfriend.co.za/2025/10/21/w... (My latest column. Supporters of Donald Trump are quick to disavow the label βfascistβ, which really is no surprise. It is damning, and is often used gratuitously.)
