Mark Mosedale

If you’re an editor or agent swinging by because of Gigs, feel free to Email me on mark[at]thatmarkjohnson[dot]co[dot]uk. I’m very much up for a chat.

Graphic Policy gets stuck into Gigs. This is, if I'm completely honest, how I discovered the fact Universal Basic Income has made it back up the news agenda. www.youtube.com/watch?v=IyqV...

"The small, singular acts of beauty where things had been paved over before. It's an excellent message to hear these days. An increasingly necessary one in fact. And Mosedale and Smith do a stellar job at executing on it." www.kleefeldoncomics.com/2026/10/gigs...

I once got myself into debt with my grandma over Age of Apocalypse comics. @omniversecomics.bsky.social #comics #XMen #FinancialManagement omniversecomics.guide/2026/06/18/c...

This is a good one. Really exciting to see someone dig in and pick up on the finer details of what we were shooting for.

Hands down one of the great experiences of the GIGS World Tour has been our conversation with @savagecritic.bsky.social for @comixexperience.bsky.social's Graphic Novel Club. I hope no-one wants to string me up for my answer to 'why comics?' www.youtube.com/watch?v=dumy...

July 2026's GNC interview is now on Youtube! Check out the interview with GIGS creators Mark Mosedale @markmosedale.bsky.social and Si Smith! GIGS publishers: @topshelfcomix.bsky.social and @idwpublishing.com #gigsgraphicnovel #comixexperience #graphicnovelclub 🔗 www.youtube.com/watch?v=dumy...

Really liked The Kissing Gate and now, after finally visiting the open Kickstarter tab that's been haunting my browser for days, proper looking forward to Candelstone.

I wish I had more parking apps.

Just a reminder that if you want to read writing about comics, including big pieces about the medium, its history (big oral history tomorrow!), the industry, and more, subscribe to my Eisner Award-winning comic site SKTCHD! This is what living next door to a 30 megawatt data center sounds like.

How the actual **** can soap for my face give me energy?!?

The fallout from the collapse of this glacier - a torrent of mud surging down the valley - killed hundreds of people. Gone, in a flash. Those people were wiped out by anthropogenic climate change. Our governments are simply not responding quickly enough to this disaster which is already upon us.

I appreciate every single person who has written/posted/talked-into-a-yogurt-pot-on-a-string about Gigs, but there's a little extra crackle that comes from seeing it on @sktchd.bsky.social.

I suspect this will not be the last time I'm touting your book on my site, so you better get used to it, Mark!!!

Thanks for giving us a lot to talk about! Love reading something full of strong, deliberate artistic choices.

In a new edition of Double Take, @oliversava.bsky.social and @davidharper.bsky.social turn their attention to @markmosedale.bsky.social and Si Smith's @topshelfcomix.bsky.social graphic novel Gigs, discussing its merits and Smith's glorious art in the process.

It'll be pretty embarrassing if the dinosaurs went out with more dignity than us. They can't say they knew about the meteor for decades, knew exactly what to do about it, had all the technology and resources to stop it but didn't so five of them could own everything

Microsoft wants to build three massive AI data centres in Leeds. It’ll drain thousands of litres of water from the River Aire and become the city's biggest carbon emitter. We can still stop the council's final sign-off, but we need more voices. Add your name: you.38degrees.org.uk/petitions/pr...

This page was inspired by (very) old school Grand Theft Auto. Art, of course, by Si Smith. It’s from our book Gigs.

A little over 1k short of goal and only 3 days to go! We're down to hours, people! Time to get off your tushies and back this book assembled by @sxbond.bsky.social

Despite seven years of hurt, or whatever we want to call it, it's hard not to feel a bit pumped about this. www.youtube.com/watch?v=irVN...

subCULTURE, assembled by @sxbond.bsky.social, is superduper close to being funded! And I need you to get behind it so that I can read all the material in it that i didn't write (i.e. most of it) because it's going to be the tits. Please, thank you. www.kickstarter.com/projects/sxb...
