That lesbian-coded “now lick it” ad from the Steve Hilton campaign just reeks of desperation. He’s 25 points behind and won’t do the one thing California voters expect, condemn Trumps crimes, so so he went with the Penthouse Forum vibe? Was that the strategy?

A limited defense I’ll make of Los Angeles is that many people who think it looks like garbage are only thinking about the external. Inside that forgettable sunbaked stripmall is a restaurant that would be the nicest and most memorable dining experience in 50 miles anywhere else in the world.
