are you interested in learning to use Git (as a total beginner?) I'd love your feedback on a Git tutorial! Sign up here: forms.gle/msQDVyJtEtre... the tutorial will be available for free on git-scm.com when it's done, and we need a few more testers to make that possible!

This month I closed issues and merged PR in various rOpenSci repositories; some were 2+ years old. I also created PRs that will close other old issues. And I was able to do all of this during my paid work hours thanks to the Sovereign Tech Fellowship @sovereign.tech It feels so good 🤩

As I wrote for @fastcompany.com , women are sounding an alarm about AI. But they are not rooted in a fear of change but in the unequal risks of AI: From bias to privacy to environmental costs to job exposure to competence penalties to emotional labor. www.fastcompany.com/91584377/wom...

A side project I've been working on is public now: vellumverse, an #Rstats graphics stack built on a Rust backend. vellum sits where grid does but renders in Rust. vellumplot is the grammar on top and vellumwidget turns any plot into an interactive widget. Feedback welcome ☺️ github.com/r-vellum
