Larry laid his mouse in front of the press to be photographed. Lest you ask, this is a real photograph via the Press Association.

Looks like Meta aka BaseFuck has finally ensured that I will no longer be using its 'services'. As of this afternoon it is demanding that I give them a video selfie. I've put up with a lot of enshittification but that is a step too far. #meta #facebook #enshittification

This evening Rosie has been watching La Cocina (Alonso Ruizpalacios, 2024). 1957 Angry Young Men, filtered through Noises Off and Gosford Park and transplanted to a Times Square diner with exploited undocumented workers. #film #cinema

Some comedian sitting behind me on the bus yesterday had his phone or iPad or something playing music without earphones. I didn't look back, I simply produced my own phone and gave him a blast of Siegfried. He stopped. So I stopped. Small #moralvictory. #annoyingpeople

What the hell was that Magarat Greg Swenson doing on #bbcaq? What's he doing in our country? If he doesn't like our tax regime then he and those like him are welcome to piss off back to the US.

“It was Starmer who changed the rules to make more prosecutions possible. That happened and there was a huge increase in convictions.” He also told @TheNewsAgents: "These girls are being exploited all over again. Politicians jumping on the bandwagon after years of silence is shameful".

Haha! I once raised a concern with the police about upstairs neighbours where the man was constantly shouting and swearing at the top of his voice. I was told that shouting and swearing did not constitute violence in the eyes of the police. Poor Harrison! #thearchers.

Why are we still even having a debate about this barbaric practice? Let's start with getting the Scottish government to act, the medieval fetish is holding back the regeneration of the Highlands.

@wildjustice.bsky.social has just launched a new petition calling for a ban on driven grouse shooting. How will the new Labour Govt respond? Let's find out! 10K signatures gets a response. Currently on 6K. Please sign & share! #raptorresearch #ukbirding raptorpersecutionuk.org/2024/11/23/w...

The sensible thing for small family farmers to do is to sell the land to a holding company and lease it back. I'm sure that's what their accountants will be recommending. Meanwhile those like Clarkson, Dyson and probs Farage who bought land for tax abuse, sorry, avoidance are squealing. No sympathy!

The inheritance tax thing is hurting the Prime Minister as "Starmer" rhymes with "Farmer" and "Harmer." Given this, here are other things the PM should be wary about legislating on, in future: llamas. Robert Palmer. BBC One drama. Michelle Obama. Bananas In Pyjamas.

More luck than judgement, as so often. I know very little about the alleged blue group header but got them anyway because they fit together another way that I learned for pub quizzes 40 years ago! #connections #nytgames Connections Puzzle #524 🟨🟩🟩🟩 🟨🟨🟨🟨 🟩🟩🟩🟩 🟦🟦🟦🟦 🟪🟪🟪🟪

Meanwhile, #BlueSky appears to have had a wee glitch with all the new people joining at once. And over at Threads where I just had a look they're gloating. Moving from ExTwitter to Threads, Musk to Zuck is a FryingPan→Fire situation ISTM. Hope we're over the wobble.

The Management, Dinky and Pepper, greet a bright, sunny November morning in Edinbugh by snuggling up in an igloo. I feel they are neglecting their duties, they should have been keeping my feet warm!

Why am I immediately reminded of Ronnie Barker's role as "Intelligence" in the classic BBC radio comedy The Navy Lark? (For youngsters reading: Barker answered the phone with "This is Intelligence" in a dim-witted voice)

Donald Trump chose Tulsi Gabbard, an ex-Democratic lawmaker who backed him, to be the director of national intelligence. She would oversee 18 spy agencies and would be responsible for preparing the President’s Daily Brief. nyti.ms/3O4Pwhg
