It costs $3000 an hour to fly one police helicopter over Los Angeles. They mostly do “routine patrols,” which is to say harass residents by flying low and loud and shining their giant lights around. I sometimes wonder if Angelenos know that it’s not like this in other cities.

How do you double dribble...on a single dribble?

Danny Marang@dannymarang.bsky.social

A double-dribble was just called in an NBA game where there was very clearly NOT a double-dribble. That might be one of the most egregiously bad calls I've ever seen in my life.

Try it in the theater, if possible. It's a big movie.

Project Hail Mary really makes me cry because it's everything I think the scientific world could do and more. Can't wait to watch the movie.... either when I get the time to see it in a cinema or when it comes out on the websites.

I feel that way about The Hurting, tbh.

was listening to SONGS FROM THE BIG CHAIR this morning and it is totally wild how much that record is a no skips, banger after banger, stone cold classic. you’re telling me at least four of the best pop hits of the 80s are on one album?!?

The Lakers trade deadline wasn’t just about what they did or didn’t do. It was about how to build, big bang vs. incremental, waiting vs. adapting, new vs old NBA. This column is free. If it resonates, a share or a subscribe goes a long way 👇 digginbasketball.substack.com/p/lakers-tra...

I've gotta admit. Trump is doing a pretty good job of distracting everyone from the Epstein Files. It's just moral bombardment every day, and the media has stopped talking about it. 😑
