Travis Knight says the final battle in ‘WILDWOOD’ is the most difficult sequence ever made at LAIKA. “It required us to use every single technique… It's a combination of hand drawn animation, stop-motion animation, CG animation & it’s something to behold.”

Wildwood is the best animated movie I’ve seen in years. Incredible craftsmanship aside, as is standard for Laika, the story and themes of the film were shockingly mature in a way that didn’t talk down to the viewer. And it was EPIC too. Genuinely had me on the edge of my seat! Highly recommended.

LAIKA’s ‘Wildwood’ opens with $11 million domestically. It is currently the second lowest opening for the studio, behind ‘Missing Link’.

Let me share some positive news for a change: Despite all the gloomy headlines today, my understanding is that there are multiple paths actively being explored that would save Arkane Lyon. Anything can happen during negotiations, but at this point I'd be surprised if the studio is shut down.
