I think the proper response to famous artists embracing AI isn’t to disown their work altogether but to draw a line between before and after they started using it. Continue to appreciate the work they created in the past with their own hands while refusing to engage with their new stuff made by AI.

Looking at all the ways grief can just completely destroy a person over the last few years and now I hate the line “what is grief, if not love persevering?” even more. No matter how well-intentioned it was.
