My first professional voice gig, I got to share the booth with Bauza, him as Bugs and me as Beaky. I was so nervous, so scared... and then he came into the booth with me, reassured me, told me I'd do better than okay, and for that half hour I felt like I really could be good enough for him.

The fact Eric Bauza had passed on from hypertension (and sleep apnea apparently), it’s a good reminder to take good care of ourselves. Shit’s scary knowing that it can hit someone even when young.

Wildwood is undeniably an achievement on many levels, but reading all these reviews, I'm struck by how this is where Laika has finally succeeded in its mission to turn the solitary art of (stop motion) animation into a form of athletics - obsessed with scale, spectacle, endurance and big numbers.
