Finished Belmont's Curse with 100% completion! Man, what a welcome return for Castlevania. The clues in particular were fun, part 'Vania, part 'Brainia. Fresh and modern, while honouring the series' legacy with its characters, locations, enemies and weapons. 8.5/10 easy.

If anyone ever asks me if 3D printing is worth the cost of entry, I simply show them something like this. Then tell them "no, probably not."

A $1200 console is doomed to fail. Every day Xbox/Sony manage convince me to never buy one of their products again.

I totally forgot that this was coming out so soon and all of a sudden I really need to get it. Will be a blast with the kids. Check out this review by @nathanellingsworth.bsky.social now

For @culturedex.bsky.social I reviewed Nintendo Switch Sports Resort, a wonderful return to form for the series and a lovely way to explore the secrets of Wuhu Island Some additions like Skateboarding feel half baked, but classics like Table Tennis and Golf SING youtu.be/Kuv3rT3PuTs?...

I keep being recommended Dungeon Crawler Carl from every angle (friends, family, Goodreads). I tried the first book 3 years ago and HATED it. Surely it can't be that good?

I'm only buying one more game this year: Ocarina of Time. Still got to finish Control, Onimusha, The Adventure of Elliot and Orbitals. Then I think Castlevania and The Witcher 3 Remastered will keep me company until January.

I've still been maintaining and streamlining my home server, and the reading applications have evolved and matured so much and so quickly. My Grimmory eBook library, Audiobookshelf library and Bookbridge sync tool all integrate so seamlessly with one another, and in turn with my new Kobo eReader!

Now I've got roast chicken to use this week AND I'm making a stock with the carcass. This is living isn't it?

Metroid Dread has sold out on CEX, costs £90 on Amazon, and is selling for £60+ on eBay second hand. Ravenous is going to be huge.

Testing Castlevania between Steam Deck and Switch 2, and the Switch version has a LOT less detail in the backgrounds and environments. You can't even make out the wall carving in my first screenshot.

I was a little bit hungover this morning, but still moved two massive new bits of furniture up to our *nearly finished* bedroom and then did a 5K run! Onimusha on the sofa and an early night before finally moving back home tomorrow.

The best thing about being a homeowner is that every time I leave a scrape or a dent in a wall trying to get a huge piece of furniture through our tiny staircase, it becomes our problem for the rest of time...

Cutting this down to 9 games was so rough, but man the GBA/DS were so influential for my tastes growing up. I didn't discover Monster Hunter and Souls games until my 20s, so I could probably do a second one of these...

There are so many other games I can talk about here... But in terms of the games that shaped my taste and my gaming future, yeah these probably hit all the right notes My 9 games #My9Games my9games.net/en/share/9f9...

Fully intended on playing Onimusha over the last week and a half, but I picked up Splatoon Raiders again. After beating Saros, something kind of unlocked in my brain and I am finding greater depth and synergy in my Raiders builds. Finding 5-star items really tickles my brain, too.

I was 3 beers deep earlier, talking about how I wish I had used my 20s more wisely... But after looking back, I was kind of a lost cause. Your 20s are for making mistakes, my 30s are for achieving the things I wasn't equipped for a decade ago. I'm 5 beers deep now, but I know I was spitting.

In September 2023 we moved into our rental house together. After 3 years of making it into our home.... we just bought it! I never thought I'd be able to own a home, so I'm beyond ecstatic. This has been an incredibly fulfilling year so far.

As if I wasn't hyped enough, a launch trailer set to a Cardigans song??? God I am so sad I won't be able to play this until next Sunday...
