What I’m hearing is that we can combine Fat Bear Week and the election. Put some of those bears on the debate stage with the human nominees and you’ve got guaranteed ratings.
Thanks to @jeffedwards.bsky.social for this amazing constitutional catch. The requirement that you must be a natural born citizen and more than thirty-five years of age only applies to persons, but there is no requirement that you must actually be a person to be president.
Things I was frightened of as a child: Carnage, the Spider-Man villain The Wicked Witch of the West Death
Things I was frightened of as a child: The Sharp Tooth from Land Before Time The Ocean The closet door, in the room in the house where I first saw a shadow person, which was a yawning pit when left open but still infinitely preferable to seeing the things in the mirrored doors when it was closed.
@jocelynbenson.bsky.social how about you exercise some oversight on this garbage extra second here, get ahead of the issue
@debbiedingell.house.gov when are you going to release a statement on that bullshit second, show some integrity
Without saying your age, what is your favourite movie that came out when you were 20 years old? Ok, so this is my legit favorite movie from that year (and all time, really), but my best movie theatre experience was Snakes on a Plane.
Without saying your age, what is your favourite movie that came out when you were 20 years old? I went to the midnight premiere in Dunedin where someone proposed to their fiance with a vanity card asking her to be his "Lady of the Ring" and someone else did a perfect wookie howl in the crowd.
Make your favorite film sound as boring as possible without giving away the title: A woman writes a book about an IRS agent auditing a small business.

Is there anything more satisfying than getting a crossword clue because of a book you read in elementary school? You get it right and you get to reminisce. Thanks, @danielpinkwater.bsky.social, for having Uncle Borgel teach me what an eft is.
I used to read @kaaauthor.bsky.social’s The One and Only Ivan to my 4th graders every year when I was a teacher. I just read The One and Only Ruby, and y’all, I’d have SOBBED in front of 27 ten year olds if this had been written back then.
