i am inviting anyone from a legacy media organization to explain to me why the house judiciary dems report on trump’s epstein’s ties and multiple allegations of rape isn’t worthy of extensively reporting on. i’m serious. i want to understand.

A great honor

(Reuters) - US President Donald Trump on Sunday escalated his invective against Norway, calling it a "shit house country" and ‌saying Norwegian immigrants were not welcome in the United States because the Nobel committee .. had not awarded him a Peace Prize. www.reuters.com/world/us/tru...

For the “don’t impeach because ‘28 crowd”

10 years ago today, Trump’s DC hotel opened. It taught him people will pay a sitting president, and there will be no repercussions. Want to understand the second term’s corruption? Start with the hotel:

Uh-oh, not the “T” word!

Adam Schwarz@adamjschwarz.bsky.social

Lula: "We had to overcome foreign interference through digital platforms, which we will have to regulate. A crime in the digital world must be treated the same as a crime in the real world. We cannot have monstrous companies earning millions... not paying taxes... wanting to steer elections."

Tell me you’re a racist without telling me you’re a racist

The Bulwark@thebulwark.com

Rally speaker: "Mike Rogers is an American. Abdul has a birth certificate. The birth certificate says he's a citizen of America. You know what? a birth certificate doesn't make you an American."

“Because Marco is Cuban and I like to send people back…”

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Trump: "We'll take care of Cuba on our way back from Iran ... those beautiful ships, they'll pass Cuba. We'll have one of them stop about 50 yards off the coast. They'll raise up their hands, and then we're gonna send Marco Rubio in."

That picture with the double jerk with the mouth open should be a poster

GM just announced the biggest stock buyback in automotive industry history. Instead of investing in their workers or new product lines, GM executives are robbing from the future to pay themselves and their shareholders today. Stock buybacks should be illegal.

I remember when this ised to be the middle. Now it’s “radical”

Powerful words from @aoc.bsky.social. America does not belong to any one race, religion, or creed. It is big enough for all of us who believe in democracy and in our Constitution and in leaving a future that is better for our kids.

How long before we find out Russia had a hand in this?

French authorities say they have “lost control” in major cities amid nationwide unrest, asking some cities to impose curfews. The Louvre closes after protesters announce a blockade, while a spire in Limoges collapses in flames amid the unrest.

“We will make it box cutter proof!”

Trump: "The Department of Interior wants to take a terrible and very unsafe golf course, and make it into a great, safe, and prestigious golf course ... They do not need an approval. Work is scheduled to begin IMMEDIATELY!"

Bari Weiss accusing others of dual loyalty is rich

Justin Baragona@justinbaragona.bsky.social

Of course Bari Weiss has pushed CBS reporters to pursue the James Talarico was in a mental hospital and Abdul El-Sayed is tied to the Muslim Brotherhoid stories. Of course she has. www.semafor.com/article/10/1...

Intellectual dishonesty is just what any serious news organization would be looking for in a legal correspondent

Kevin M. Kruse@kevinmkruse.bsky.social

Well, you can't expect a random reporter to understand the Constitution. I mean, it's not like she's CBS's chief *legal* correspond-- (finger to earpiece). Oh. Oh no. OK, yeah, that's bad.

Marisa brought the receipts

SCOOP: 'Tommy' from the now-viral exchange with Abdul El-Sayed is Thomas Teepell, a former staffer for Republican Senator Josh Hawley with close ties to Christian Nationalist Sean Feucht. He's the son of a former Bobby Jindal staffer whose consultant work was instrumental in getting Hawley elected.

“But that would be incendiary..”

Mark Jacob@markjacob.bsky.social

Journalists need to ask prominent people on the record whether they think Trump is trying to establish a dictatorship. There’s an abundance of evidence that Trump indeed is, but hardly any major public figures seem willing to say it. I believe people are afraid to say what they know to be true.

JD admitting incompetence

MeidasTouch@meidastouch.com

The husband of a U.S. soldier killed in Trump's Iran war confronts JD Vance over alleged military leadership failures that led to the deaths of his wife and five other service members. JOEY AMOR: “There's a failure in the leadership.” VANCE: “This is literally the first time I've heard of this.”

Important distinction. Changes everything!

Keith Ellison calls out Ron Schutz for doing nothing during Metro Surge 👇 ELLISON: I stood up for Minnesotans. I stood up for the victims. And you sent out a piece of paper SCHUTZ: I issued a press release ELLISON: And nobody listened to you

“Shooting”

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

ELLISON: It's amazing that Ron thinks the only thing that went wrong is that people protested. They have a right to protest SCHUTZ: Look at what I did after the Alex Pretti shooting ELLISON: Not much

Media:”Trump gives firey speach in Georgia”

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

🤔 What the hell is wrong with Trump? 🤔 Trump gave a bonkers speech in Georgia that included Islamophobic bigotry, oddly sexual comments about men, crazed lies about teachers secretly trans-ing kids, and a variety of other insane rants Here's the lowlight reel:

Imagine having that guy as your editor….

Mark Jacob@markjacob.bsky.social

This morning I re-watched my video argument with the NY Times' Patrick Healy, and it's clear that the Times believes if it says explicity that the Trump regime is assaulting democracy, that would undermine its work to investigate how the regime is assaulting democracy. What an absurd position.
