If you're in Ferndale, MI this weekend for Funky Ferndale and the DIY Street Fair, check out @meganlui.art's booth in front of the Library Bookstore (next to Java Hutt, across the street from Rust Belt Market)! She has original paintings plus framed and unframed prints and they're all gorgeous! #art

It took over 20 years to make this. @sprayadhesive.bsky.social on a bench in Royal Oak, MI on December 17, 2003 (35mm) plus flowers in Chicago, IL on June 15, 2025 (digital) #Photography #Photo #Artsky #Portrait #Collage #Flower #DigitalArt #StreetArt #Art #PhotographersUnited #Midwest

Been dealing with a lot of hurt and loss in my life in the last several months. My art is changing in subject and tone, which is helping me heal because it's exciting to see your art grow. But also, it just hurts. Have a nice day ❤️ #life #loss #art

When the magic happens ❤️ "Lightbulb Moment" 8x8 inches, #mixedmedia on canvas, inspired by #detroit #art #artstudio #texture #brick

"Cannonball" Start of a new series, Happy Little Fools. I wanted to explore making an abstract without any representation... And then I drew some silly stick figures. I think this piece reflects a yearning for simplicity and the delight of ignorance. Should roll with this idea? #art #abstractart

Thrilled to be included! Check out the zine!

"All Natural Clover Honey" 10 x 10 inches Just a little guy for your viewing enjoyment. This is my favorite of a series of bee paintings I just completed. I like the movement of the vines. Anything you like about this mixed media painting? #art #bees #mixedmedia #abstractart #honeycomb #painting

Current status: half heartedly fighting the creeping despair #mentalhealth #grief

In 2017, 1,070 people were killed in the U.S. in circumstances related to domestic violence. By 2021, that number had skyrocketed to 1,800. Illinois’ own tally reflects the national pattern, going from 34 killings to 49 over the same period. By @vernalcoleman.bsky.social
