While I was in North Dakota, I officiated my daughter's wedding, and though it has been a very long time since I felt a "calling," it was like everything came together to bring me there again. May the Great Creator of the Universe bless our family.

This Wednesday I celebrate 40 years in Taos. I credit my stubborn determination to stay, and my tendency to count my chickens, as the reason why I am still here. Thank you, Taos. "Counting Summer's Chickens," oil on canvas by Melwell, 22x28 – Call Parsons Gallery of the West at +1-575-737-9200

Now that’s a damn fine cup of coffee. I was in a foreign land where the coffee was weak and vile — home now to my Organic Black Lighting (my favorite color scheme). #Aromacoffee

Heavy weather on the last leg of my trip to North Dakota and my daughter's wedding. Turns out the tornado that hit Santa Fe was right behind us, thinking about making a scene.

Zuckerberg, you piece of shit, shoving angry confrontation reels at me all night, like you’re trying to get people fired up to fight. I hope you get what you deserve. In hell or what’s coming.

At first I thought the breakfast buffet looked great, but my neurodivergent brain can taste the hotel chain’s signature scent on the food and now I might have to do DoorDash again. Exhausted with this empty food.

Awake in a motel room, first of four nights. The droning vibrations from heaters, fans, small in-room refrigerator, signature scent diffusers and more, are going to require a lot of sensory dampening on my part or the next four nights.

I’d buy the defunct Spatial VR platform so I didn’t lose access to my virtual worlds. I’d wander around, alone, like always, but they would be my worlds, always. I morn the loss of them still.

question for the audience: if you were ultra rich (let’s say $25M), what completely frivolous thing are you buying?

It’s all smoke and mirrors.

Gartner says that by 2030, 80% of neoclouds will have ceased operations, that AI data center owners would need to generate $8.5 trillion in revenue to cover the current spend and hit an ROIC of 12%, and that $4tr+ in assets face writedown risk by 2032. www.gartner.com/en/newsroom/...

Although it looked good, it was gummy. I learned a lot though. I’m going on a brief trip so I fed her and tucked her into the bottom shelf of the fridge to wait for my return. The allusive perfect loaf awaits!

Someone from Central Casting called. Better press your ascot.

It’s bad enough that Gavin Newsom opposes California’s Prop 40. But he also supports Prop 42, a billionaire-backed poison pill that would cancel out Prop 40 entirely and make it impossible to enact future wealth taxes. It’s clear whose side he’s on. Remember this in 2028.

I just remembered a comment I made eight years ago that ended up on Colbert that evening. Still chortling over it. Apparently, Nunberg is back working for Trump. Amazing. Everyone so totally comfortable swimming in that pool.

To the local plant lady who remarked in 2020 that all those beginner-baker "shitty loaves" made her sad, you have to learn by doing. If requiring perfection stops you from learning new things, it makes me sad about your "shitty upbringing."

Beth II, or my second loaf with youthful sourdough starter. This loaf is a more traditional boule. I'm using a cloche improvised from a Cuisinart saucepan and lid. This loaf fermented overnight in the fridge. #sourdoughbread #sourdoughbaking #sourdoughforbeginners #sourdoughtips #sourdough

Zuckerberg flooding my Instagram feed with people fussing and fighting. Cities and rural. Hard blows and language. A big change from the usual animal rescues he was serving me over the last year. Trying to foment a little civic action Zuck? You got your orders, yeah?
