You Can See Everything was a great film but I am already predicting the tired meta-discourse we're going to get from the Very Online Film Guys in the next week. You should see it yourself! It does a lot to make you think about the nature of documentary and self created mythologies of Silicon Valley.
We've been past the point of no return for a while now, Meta's business interests (sell more AI tools, encourage more AI in-app, pay for a blue check and Meta plus subscription) are in direct conflict with its Trust and Safety interests.
This isn’t an AI story, it’s a Trust and Safety story and Meta completely dropped the ball because giving someone the ability to pay for something that denotes trust and status is a Bad Idea.
I've been eating at Noodletown for the last ~15 years, often late at night after drinking, many times bringing friends who want to "see Chinatown." Rob Martinez has stepped up his videos in a big way lately and glad to see him put some more shine on an NYC institution. youtu.be/mBEoAXrwTYw
@mayor.nyc.gov you know what you need to do
Ok maybe, but I checked to see if there were tickets available for Godzilla Minus Zero and amazingly, there were some! As my cursor hovered over the "buy" button I noticed that they were $90 + a $3 convenience fee. I'm not going to even one movie at that price, let alone all of them!
We've finally reached the point of just reinventing ChaCha from first principles en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ChaCha_...
Scoop: Meta's Muse AI can make phone calls. Internally, Meta has told employees that many of these calls will be made by human beings in a call center: www.404media.co/meta-tests-m...

I remain uncertain if this movie "needed" to be made or not, but from the teaser trailer alone it looks like Garfield 100% nailed Altman's weird little physical mannerisms youtu.be/rDZplZFnbOk
"In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to be made to Dolly Parton's Imagination Library" donate.imaginationlibrary.com
Dolly Parton's Imagination Library gifted more than 332,000,000 books since it was first created 31 years ago.
I once had a rep from Muck Rack, the industry standard in earned media and PR, tell me with a straight face that a piece of content received "over 8 billion views" and when I asked to confirm "are you telling me that basically the entire population of Earth saw this?" they said yes.
The measurement problem/challenge in the digital age continues. A view on platforms is a black box. So when someone touts 3 million views, it means nothing. Except! As a measurement exec told me 15 yrs ago: "A standard is just a lie that an industry agrees to"
What I think people closer to the marketing industry could see very early that is now becoming painfully clear to everyone is that OpenAI and Anthropic are less tech companies than they are PR/comms/lobbying companies that happen to own a tech product. This is classic spin covering a bad product:
“What we need to explain to the world: Number one, we are close to creating a genie that can grant any wish. Number two, we are going to make sure that our first wishes broadly benefit humanity” - Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI — This is definitely the opposite of Anthropic’s AI kills all jobs pitch.
44% of social marketers think their boss doesn't understand social. Instagram is still the number one priority for social teams. A lot of teams want to create serialized video. All this and more in Pt. 1 of the results from Link in Bio's annual vibe check survey: www.linkinbio.news/p/social-med...

The good shit. It’s hard to explain the energy in the city the last few weeks. The rallying cries, high-fives, nods, and “yerrs.” The feeling in the air that great things are possible. All I can offer this morning is a sincere thank you. www.nytimes.com/2026/06/14/n...

Extremely sudden loss. Busch won a race just last weekend and I think it was only announced he'd been hospitalized earlier today. His stat line is unrivaled. A helluva driver with an elbows out style. RIP.
Breaking News from @theathletic.com: Kyle Busch, one of NASCAR’s top drivers, has died at 41 after an illness.
