America will rise again from the ashes and we will never serve on our knees.

When a White House prioritizes loyalty and image over truth and accountability, public trust suffers. Americans deserve a press secretary who informs the public honestly, not one who turns government communication into political theater. Transparency is essential to democracy.

The New Republic@newrepublic.com

As Trump fumes over his inability to control events, a sharp observer of White House follies explains how his disastrous new press secretary epitomizes something unexpectedly dark and dangerous. trib.al/swZWd58

Our streets should be safe and accessible for everyone. Don’t let decisions made without public support silence the community. Keep speaking up, stand together, and demand that the Ford government listen to the people! 🚲✊

Robert Zaichkowski@rzaichkowski.bsky.social

All right, folks! If you are able to, you may want to rush to Bloor and Islington ASAP where bike removal crews are setting up! We must keep the pressure on until the Ford government backs off for good. 🚨🚲🚨 #BikeTO #TOpoli #ONpoli #VisionZero www.reddit.com/r/torontobik...

The rumor has been debunked, yet the damage from days of conspiracy theories is already done. Campaigns should respond faster when misinformation spreads, but let’s not confuse a delayed response with proof of wrongdoing. Facts should matter more than political smears.

Ron Filipkowski@ronfilipkowski.bsky.social

Honestly my first reaction when these morons were all falling for the grifters’ latest hoax was that Talarico should let it go for a while to see how many Republicans would take the bait and start saying outrageously idiotic and foolish things. He did and they did.

Political claims don’t pay grocery bills. Americans judge the economy by what they actually pay, not by politicians’ speeches. If prices are truly falling, working families should be able to feel it in their wallets.

Ron Filipkowski@ronfilipkowski.bsky.social

This can’t be true because Trump and the Republicans running for office have been telling me that prices have been coming down thanks to the leadership and brilliance of Trump, Bessent and Lutnick.

A life was lost, yet ICE funding continues to grow. If campaign contributions from ICE contractors influence political decisions, the public deserves answers. Human lives must matter more than political donations, and accountability cannot wait.

Maine Beacon@mainebeacon.bsky.social

Three months after ICE killed Johan Sebastián Durán Guerrero in Biddeford, Sen. Susan Collins continues to defend her votes to expand ICE funding. Guest contributor Andy O’Brien follows the money connecting Collins to more than $130,000 from people tied to major ICE contractors.

Ukraine’s children and civilians must never be bargaining chips. Peace cannot mean forcing Ukraine to surrender its freedom while innocent people pay the price. History will judge the choices made today.

Ron Filipkowski@ronfilipkowski.bsky.social

Pretty clear that Trump/Hegseth are doing everything they can to force Ukraine to surrender to Putin by withholding all US assistance while actively helping fund the Russian war machine to kill as many civilians as possible including kids. What a dark, evil chapter in US history.

If Starlink restrictions are disrupting critical missions, the public deserves answers. Satellite communications should never become a tool of political pressure. Any alleged involvement by the Trump administration must be investigated, with transparency and accountability taking priority.

Ron Filipkowski@ronfilipkowski.bsky.social

Trump and Musk are doing everything they can to try and force Ukraine to surrender to Putin while Musk spends over $300 million to try and buy the midterm elections to maintain total power. The American government under Republicans are on the side of evil. Vote them out.

Public service should never be a pathway to private enrichment. If these allegations are substantiated, voters deserve full transparency, accountability, and answers about potential conflicts of interest. No one in government should be above scrutiny.

Common Dreams@commondreams.org

A new investigation from @DropSiteNews explores how GOP Senate candidate Mike Rogers' wealth soared due to his wife's role as a powerful military contractor while he served in Congress. His opponent Abdul El-Sayed has called it a "deep state grift."

Families in Ukraine are facing deadly attacks and power outages. Behind every headline are real people trying to survive. The world must keep civilian protection and lasting peace at the center. #Ukraine #Peace

America has an important role in shaping the path to peace in Ukraine. Any agreement should protect civilians, respect Ukraine's sovereignty, and offer credible security guarantees. Peace must be more than words. #Ukraine #AmericanLeadership

🇺🇦 Ukraine continues to fight for its freedom while innocent families pay the price of war. The world must stand for sovereignty, protect civilians, and pursue a just and lasting peace. No nation should have to live under the shadow of invasion. 🕊️ #Ukraine #Peace

🇺🇦 Ukraine’s people deserve peace, safety, and freedom. The world must not turn away from their suffering. We need action, not empty promises, to end this war and protect innocent lives. 🕊️ #StandWithUkraine

Trump’s latest TIME interview raises serious questions about leadership and accountability. From the prolonged Iran war to attacks on the press, Americans deserve facts, transparency, and solutions—not blame-shifting. A president should answer to the people, not expect the people to answer to him. 🇺🇸

🇺🇸 America belongs to the people, not the wealthy and powerful. Our democracy, freedoms, and future are too precious to surrender to political greed. We must speak up, demand accountability, and stand for justice before silence costs us everything. #SaveDemocracy #AmericaFirst

Demonizing an entire community and encouraging chants of “De-port!” is not leadership—it’s scapegoating. Immigrants deserve dignity, not collective blame. America should be united by its values, not divided by racism and fear.

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Trump pushes gutter racism in Ohio: "Look at what's happening in the once great state of MN. What a mess. Somalia ... all they do is kill each other in the streets. They cheat on everything. You have to vote for Michele Tafoya ... I thought I won MN 3 times." The crowd chants "De-port! De-port!"

A one-time $90 payment shouldn’t come at the expense of community health centers, diabetes programs, and other essential healthcare. Seniors need reliable care and long-term support—not a short-term check that could undermine the services they depend on.

Rolling back Title IX protections amid serious sexual-assault allegations is a disgraceful step backward. Survivors deserve stronger safeguards—not fewer.

The New Republic@newrepublic.com

The Trump administration has moved to cripple Title IX protections against sexual assault and harassment on the same day New York prosecutors reopened the investigation into heinous allegations of a fraternity gang rape at Cornell University. trib.al/QewniBV

If you’re going to Oklahoma, show respect for the people waiting for you. Turning a weather delay into another self-congratulatory spectacle doesn’t make you courageous—it makes the message about you, not the people you’re supposed to serve. Safety and responsibility should come before theatrics.

Matt Novak@paleofuture.bsky.social

Trump says weather has delayed his flight from Texas to Oklahoma so he’s driving the presidential limo there instead. Trump: “‘The Beast’ is going faster than it has ever gone before. It won't be long.”

If someone can secretly record you without your knowledge, that’s a privacy nightmare. New technology shouldn’t create a loophole where people can violate others’ privacy simply because the law hasn’t caught up yet.

Prices aren’t “coming down rapidly” if the CPI still rose 3.4% over the past year, with food up 2.7%. Lower inflation means prices are rising more slowly—not that prices have suddenly fallen. The receipts matter more than the rhetoric.

Radio Free America@radiofreeflorida.bsky.social

Welcome to a “Math is for losers!” edition of the MAGA Minute! Today, Trump says prices are falling quickly due to the Dems, but the Reps will “fix” that. Editor’s Note: Overall prices on the U.S. are 3-4% higher under Trump with some, like fuel and beef, substantially higher. #RFA

If inflation is “totally under control,” why are so many Americans still feeling the squeeze? Saying people just haven’t been “explained” the success isn’t the same as making everyday life more affordable.

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Trump: "We have inflation totally in control and we've done a great job. The thing I haven't done a good job with is explaining it to people. We have the most successful period of time for a president in the history of our country."

Trump and Ronny Jackson have a chuckle about the botched execution in Tennessee: "The medication didn't exactly work. He [Jackson] would answer it better than anybody. How does that happen? It shouldn't be very difficult."

U.S. out of Iraq…again. Not getting much play is the difficulty the U.S. would have faced if it tried to stay on. It was less political - although that is real - and more logistical, with critical American bases in Kuwait and Bahrain still recovering from Iranian attacks. #RadioFreeAmerica

There’s no way Andrew Bailey quit his position as AG of Missouri expecting to serve as a co-Deputy FBI Director under Kash Patel. He was either given assurances that Kash was going to be gone soon and he would get the gig, or he thought that on his own. Anyway, good riddance.

Taxpayers deserve government that works for them—not taxpayer-funded personal branding for politicians. Public money should serve the public, not build a political brand.

America is at a crossroads. Rising costs, political polarization, and taxpayer-funded messaging are eroding public trust. Government should serve the public—not a politician or personal brand. Accountability and the rule of law matter.

The Trump White House official app is fraught with trackers. The White House app covertly collects excessive user data and shares it with third-party trackers while sidestepping federal security rules. For example, the app includes scripts to monitor a user's location several times per minute.
