From my own experience, the "Corporate Management" approach to healthcare is a complete disaster. When the result that matters is only measured in dollars, healthcare has failed. Non-profits imitating private equity also. $43 million CEO pay. act.nnu.org/letter/ascen...

So individuals who spend half their life in school and take on enormous debt shouldn’t be allowed to take on partners to expand their business? You cannot be that financially illiterate. It’s almost like graduated from Cornell level of stupid.

Medical decisions should be made by doctors, not private equity firms or insurers. The bill aims to close the “friendly doctor” loophole and limit corporate control of medical practices.

This is not the problem. The real issues are: Third Party payers. For profits and not for profits. Health System local monopolies. Neither should be allowed own doctors practices In the case of Third Party payers - Medicare for All should eliminate them. And break-up local monopolies.

......... and Public Utilities, we were taught in school, would never be put in private hands, and yet here we are........ so yeah, legislate and someone else will find the loophole when they see where the profit to be made can be unlocked.

Doctors should be making medical decisions, not private equity firms or insurers. The bill tries to close the 'friendly physician' loophole that lets companies control practices through a figurehead doctor. Whether it passes is another question, but it's a fair fight to pick.

The ultimate prompt. Low context, high stakes, total ambiguity. It’s basically the "Hello World" of chaos theory.

Add law practices, veterinary practice, dental practices and nursing homes. In short, any service in which the outcome to the living being receiving the service should not be at the mercy of someone not in possession of the professional license or training to serve the customer.

That's a good start. You NEED to include anything people need to survive: HOMES UTILITIES INFRASTRUCTURE HOSPITALS AMBULANCES TRANSPORTATION And all things too dangerous to dictate acc to profit margins POLICE SECURITY MILITIAS SURVEILLANCE

While we are at it. Let’s ban pharma companies from advertising on tv. You know, like it used to be. They have no moral ethics or sense of how offending the cause effects are. ☠️

Top of the list to keep billionaires and corporations from running our government is a total ban on mega donors from them. Since the working/middle class are the majority, campaign donations should be limited to $5-10 grassroots donation.

I have been told by a Doctor friend that a bigger problem is hospitals buying Doctor's practices. Insurance companies have a concept of "hospital billing" which allows hospitals to charge more than Doctors can for the same service.

It's remarkable listening to even Wall Street's biggest proponents warning of cancer that private equity is becoming. It poses dangers not to just investors but market health in general.

It got too out of hand over in the UK too quickly so commissioners had to work out other means to make it less attractive…

And veterinarian practices, they're ruining pet ownership and care by making it extremely expensive and often requiring insurance, if have it, or setting up incredibility high payment plans if you don't, or just letting your pet die if can't afford at all! Vet care was reasonable 20 yrs ago!

This would be a disaster for healthcare access. You will just see doctors leaving private practice for huge healthcare systems. Huge for-profit hospital systems will be the only ones who benefit. Not a single patient will see anything good out of this.

Look at you. Another democratic liberal that would rather be a fucking pathetic moron and defend Ai use instead of stand up for their fellow working people. What a fucking joke you are. A pathetic fucking joke. Thinking y’all are good people while enabling the fascists. Idiot.

Unfettered capitalism would look like innumerable small businesses competing for your dollars by offering you great products, fair prices, good service. We don’t have capitalism-we have giant corporate conglomerates without competition setting prices and playing the government like puppet masters.

You missed the "unfettered" part. Some things should not be privatized for profit, like healthcare and prisons. Regulations and protections are essential. This planet belongs to all living beings not just the demented aggressively greedy few who only care about money and power.

Y'all sure are into banning things and telling people what to do, aren't you? Why can't I buy the health insurance I want anymore? Why does it have to be a government approved plan? Oh yeah... YOU people restricted them.

Do hospitals, please!!! Our hospital was bought by a big corporate entity and has been threatened with license removal several times, as cost cutting has led to more and more instances of patient harm.

OHMYGOD. This happens in your country? A Canadian band - Trooper - had a song, "Just a three dressed up as a nine". That's you, 'Merica. You like to think your country is all that and a bag of chips, that you're a 10 and the rest of us SOOOO WISH we were 'Mericans. No. We don't. Never. You're a 2.

Add banning Insurance companies from making a profit. Insurance companies should not be in business to MAKE someone rich.

Insurance companies have no business in health care at all. Their sole business is turning a profit for owners/investors, not in improving health. I speak as a retired OB/Gyn. What we need is a single payer system with service provided free at point of service.

The actual medical and mental health direct providers who perform the services are subjected to patient overloads, time constraints, billing goals and limited support staff. However, the CEOs reap the profits, and are well-rested.
