In 2007, I stood before the Library of Congress and told the story of Latino heroes too often left out of American history, like José Gutierrez, who came to the U.S. at 14 and gave his life for this country as a Marine in Iraq. This Latino Heritage Month, we remember and honor our heroes.

Good jobs. More homes. A stronger California. I want this generation to be able to afford a home, build equity, and create a future for their families. As Governor, I’ll fight to build more housing and make down payment assistance programs more accessible.

Just 41 days until Election Day. Gas and diesel prices are surging, and Trump told the UN he expects an Iran deal only after the midterms. With the war nearing its seventh month, even Republican candidates are now calling for it to end. The political pressure is closing in fast.

Since Trump took office, the average household has paid over $4,200 extra for everyday goods and services, thanks to his backwards policies. Trump promised $2 gas. Today, the national average is $4.48 — while diesel has surged to a record $6.53 a gallon. Republicans have done NOTHING to stop this.
