Why are reporters accepting his shit time and time again? There should be live fact checking on ALL politicians and the things they say on terrestrial news channels.

This morning on BBC Breakfast, Nigel Farage said he had received “zero help from the state” with his security. Yet reports say he had previously received publicly funded protection and was offered a taxpayer-funded package including a bodyguard, a secure car and a trained driver.

So he’s a bad loser AND a bad winner. Genuinely concerned that something awful will happen during these midterms as he ‘protects the election’.

I hope the “ooooh I can’t wait to get cosy under a blanket and have a hot chocolate” brigade are happy with this dogshit weather. I don’t mind rain, it’s the combo of wind and rain that feels particularly trapping. Yes it’s lovely to get the slow cooker going but I’d rather have my shorts on.

This is some of the best football I’ve ever seen Boro play. If you’re not enjoying this, follow another team. We’re a danger with the ball, on the break and everyone knows their roles and where their teammates are. Yeah, we could be tighter at the back BUT DRINK THIS TEAM IN AND SMILE.

Almost as though it pays to have expertise involved in even the smallest of decisions rather than hamfistedly assuming you can do it yourself.

Powerful thread. Incompetence reigned in the Tory government. The amount of money wasted and the lack of any form of planning are staggering.

The Covid Inquiry’s Module 6 report is devastating. Its central conclusion: adult social care was treated as “something of an afterthought”, while “protecting the NHS” sometimes came at the expense of people receiving and providing care. 1/10

Undone today by some slack defending. Thought we looked threatening throughout, a little bit more incisive once we were two down but no big panic overall. Still a brilliant start to the season, still creating plenty of chances in every game. 36 shots! On we go.

Can’t deny that finish, but absolutely no way we should be behind in this. Cardiff living on blocks and lucky deflections in their own box and scored with both their efforts on target. There’ll be half time changes. Borges, Cozier-Duberry, Morris all with chances either scuffed, blocked or saved.

Phillips having quite a slack game here, but Morris, Borges and Vitek all at fault for the goal. We are creating plenty of chances - Conway and Cozier-Duberry both getting into great positions. Should be level.

“There is not a single sign of any overall economic damage done by Brexit” says Nigel Farage Meanwhile back on planet earth by almost every economic & financial measure Brexit has been disastrous for the UK Is anyone seriously buying his bull****? Get the FACTS here👇 youtu.be/DQRzdz-7R8U?...

Basically just a conveyor belt of investigations at this point. That’s without the defections, the lack of attendance and the people who’ve simply just quit. Not a serious party and no real solutions.

Reform UK said "Where members, activists & councillors have clearly behaved inappropriately, investigations have commenced. In some cases, there have been suspensions & due process must be followed."

Imagine one of the most powerful leaders in the world posting a video of someone being mauled to death by a tiger and then posting an AI generated video of themselves wrestling and cuddling a tiger. You don’t have to imagine. It’s happened. And yet that is only a sliver of a really fucked up pie.

I suppose there’ll come a time where the goals we concede won’t be avoidable but we did not stop picking passes and bursting past players all night, even with the subs. Morris and Brittain especially always looked to take a player out by bursting past. A really good three points in any season #utb

A really bright start, Stoke flicked on their press and made things much more uncomfortable and then we’ve sorted things and seemed to have got more control again. Couple of half chances, feels like a game for Conway on the left to stretch things? Decent stuff. Shape looks good.

Feeeeeeels like we might need a number 10 in behind Lankshear - maybe sacrifice a centre half? That said, Stoke are very well organised and can break quickly. Would take a draw, they are a decent side. #utb

Going through the phases and hoops of pregnancy at the moment - my wife is 4 months pregnant and we’ve been getting appointments here and there for all sorts of different things. Some mad things happened today with the midwife… 1. The midwife advised my wife to wear “a frock” instead of jeans.

5. They predicted it would be a boy because “it’s moving about all over the place and usually a girl would be lying on her back with her legs apart” which absolutely BLEW OUR MINDS. So yeah, absolutely mental and then we heard the baby’s heartbeat for the first time which was obviously wonderful.

Little update - we decided to pop a complaint in about what happened this morning. It really took the shine off what would have been a lovely experience. We are so grateful for the NHS and this was the first misstep in what has been expert care so far.

2. We forgot to take a letter with some test results on and they not only did that fake annoyed voice, they also typed “did not bring the letter” into their laptop using that voice David Brent does when he says that he didn’t receive a memo in The Office.

3. They asked my wife if she felt safe at home WHILE I WAS IN THE SAME ROOM. Good luck to anyone who might want to confide in someone if that’s the only option they have. 4. It was a bit culty about breastfeeding. Ideally that’s what we’d like to do but it’s not that simple.

The standard argument is if you tax the rich they’ll leave the country and make the place poorer. On the other hand, if you don’t tax them and they stay, they pull this shit, making the country *much* poorer in so many ways.
