He seems fun. I definitely think this angry little guy should go to time out for a while. Maybe he could read a book to calm down. Might I suggest the Bible?

BREAKING: A U.S. District Court has reaffirmed that Texas' drag ban is unconstitutional. Drag has a rich history of joy and liberation for countless Texans, and it’s not going anywhere. All Texans, no matter our background, are guaranteed the right to free expression.

I want to live in that world Dolly Parton envisioned for us.

Dolly Parton showed this world what it looks like to lead with love. She stood with our community long before it was easy. Her voice created a world where LGBTQ+ people feel seen and celebrated. All of us at HRC will miss her dearly — and we will carry forward the light she shared with us.

In light of the recent events between the US and Canada, I rewatched Michael Moore‘s 1995 film Canadian Bacon this weekend. Now I am stuck in a perpetual loop asking does life imitate art or does art imitate life? Good thing I packed snacks because I may be here a while.

Well, it is Monday and time to get this week started. Quick check in for the week ahead: are we still pretending the whole Mitch McConnell vanishing act is normal? (Just want to set my expectations accordingly.)

Spending this hot, humid Sunday in the cool AC watching The Adventures of Priscilla Queen of the Desert and remembering fondly the first time I saw this film 30 years ago at Cinema 21 in Portland. Much has changed in my life since then, but my ❤️ for independent arthouse theaters remains constant.
