No one deserves this award more than @ctrue.bsky.social His (and his team’s) tireless work on #Fiji powers the daily research of thousands of scientists. Imagine your daily work without Fiji >.< Yet the work is often thankless. We reach out when things break, rarely when they work.

It's about time NYT didn't "both sides" something about this administration

JUST POSTED: Today at The NYT we are publishing a major investigation into how President Trump used his executive powers to expose millions of Americans to greater cancer risks. A six month-long investigation built on more than 10,000 pages of FOIA records. Read it www.nytimes.com/2026/10/24/c...

Please marvel at the work done by Brandeis Light Microscopy users and this microbiologist's best attempt to explain how cool the neuroscience is πŸ˜‰

What could you do with a Research Infrastructure award from the Massachusetts Life Sciences Center? πŸ€” Earlier this year, Brandeis expanded their Light Microscopy Core Facility with a SmartSPIM light sheet microscope and SmartBatch+ active tissue processing system. @microscopyed.bsky.social

Killed. NSF’s SBE was killed, in violation of law. The President does not have the power to choose to kill programs at a whim by defunding them. The imperial presidency was a mistake and we are in a separation of powers constitutional crisis.

It's been great meeting new people and catching up with everyone at #I2KxBINA! And it's particularly nice to catch up with some OGs of the Comms group after being on zoom every month for 5+ years

Ok, not reply department email, but it reminds me of the time several people got vacuum sealed mice in orders of plastic wear (that the did not order). Ahh, the good times of SciTwitter

Interesting article from Henning & Ivan prompted by departures at Genentech. As they say the "question is not whether scientists should embrace AI [but] how AI should reshape the role of scientists". Like many, they worry that in a rush to embrace AI some orgs aren't being smart enough...

What. A. Day. NIH grant-making was paused for several hours today. Not sure who gave the order. But in light of the Friday night Bhattacharya-Vought feud & threatened EO to implement #ScienceDeathPanels, my money is on Russell Vought. I learned of the pause from a colleague around 11:30. 🧡

Final try. Asked it to start from scratch with the images uploaded, and now it doesn't know what to do with me? Anyways, don't waste your time trying to combine a bunch of screenshots. (Most of you probably already knew) 😬
