Thoughts about society from multiple angles. Not a bot. Not perfect. I'm nuanced, not a monolithic idea. Learning and lending what insights I can. UBI & UBS The means of production is being automated, and there's more than enough to provide for everyone.

As of today there are 8.23 BILLION human beings alive while a little over 3,000 billionaires exploit the rest of the species. I'm not the best at math, but I think the majority will have the real upper hand here if we stop playing by their rules. #ClassConsciousness #GeneralStrike

Americans can’t confront the truth because doing so would shatter the myths they’ve been taught to worship. The dictatorship of capital thrives on manufactured consent, historical amnesia, and a working class conditioned to defend its own exploitation. #ClassConsciousness

RFK: "There's five hundred million Arabs in the world. And yet they don't produce science. They don't win the Nobel Prize. They don't win the Fields Prize. They don't win the Wolf Prize. They don't produce literature."

My take on AI and data centers since 2019 has been: "We must seize the means of automated production." These tools must be publicly owned and the value they produce must be distributed in an egalitarian and sustainable fashion. #UBI as a transition and ever improving #UBS as an end goal.

Humanity invents machines to make work easier. We can now produce more with less human labour than ever before. Yet we're still expected to spend most of our lives working just to survive. The problem isn't in the machines. It's who owns them. #Marxistmonday

The Government™ has made an ad about all these protests happening around the world, and it’s surprisingly honest and informative.

I spent most of the day today meal prepping at my in-laws house because my kitchen is currently a construction zone. Sportsball was on the TV the whole time, and every other commercial was an ad fear mongering about Somalian crime. This is why I don't watch television. It's pure propaganda slop.

I've been thinking about this for a while, and a lot of people have had similar anecdotal experiences with elderly people in their lives who cannot differentiate between AI generated images and reality.

... The era of standup comedy campaigning. I can't help but notice that both Obama and Trump are using the same rehearsed jokes at multiple campaign stops. Obama is a better speaker, but he uses other people's lines. Trump, on the other hand, is appealing to the worst people imaginable. 🤷

I feel like MSM is gaslighting us when they spend whole days discussing the "implications of Lindsay Graham's hypocrisy" as a member of Congress. This isn't "Breaking News". This is a "Broken Society".

As someone with a background in regulatory compliance for the biopharma industry, I can say without a doubt that someone is absolutely getting fired over falsifying documents regarding a certificate of sterility. Big big oof

So, websites are shutting down.. The Internet was cool while it lasted I guess. That end part where tens of millions of bot accounts spread hate rhetoric was a bit concerning, but at least we now have clear records of all the real bigots who outed themselves thinking that they were in the majority.

Shutting down services in a way that interferes with the military operations of a US ally is a clear case of cybercrimes and sabotage, punishable in the United States by imprisonment and fines. Elon thinks his wealth allows him to act on the global stage with impunity.

Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) demands an investigation to establish whether Elon Musk or Donald Trump ordered the sabotage of Ukraine’s Starshield communications, warning that allowing Musk to dictate US foreign policy puts the country at enormous risk.

Under Capitalism, states operate with the primary goal being to protect profits and private property. Historically this has afforded wealthy individuals with a quality of legal protection and state violence at their neck and call. But, what does it mean when the capitalist threatens the state?

What does it mean when the wealthy offender not only threatens to harm an ally, but also to bring harm upon the very government that protects and provides them with profits? Does Elon think he will be looked upon favorably when the next round of contracts are up for bid?

Forcing a mother to live in a damp flat where her children get asthma is violent. Blaming migrants for all of capitalisms ills is violent. Paying minimum wage to a manual worker who has to physically destroy their health for other peoples profit is violent. Smashing a police car is not.

If our system of justice can determine that shooting a one year-old is justified, then we do not have a system of justice, and our goal should be the eradication of the system we have and its replacement with something better.

JUST IN: The police shooting that killed 1-year-old Kohen Wiley as he sat in his mother’s lap in a Walmart parking lot in Senatobia, Miss., in June “was justified,” Mississippi Attorney General Lynn Fitch’s office said on Monday. Her office will not charge the white officer who shot the child.

Sometimes I wish we could just pick one awful point in history to revisit and stick with it instead of revisiting all of them simultaneously. We've got genocide, race wars, world wars, famines, plagues, crusades, natural disasters, freakish wealth inequality, human trafficking, impunity, and more..

It's astonishing to me that the majority of the human race would immediately think "then leave" or something like that measure upon hearing this, not because it's the wrong response, but because the majority of the world is negatively being affected by this sad old creep show and nothing changes.

Meta has suddenly suspended the No Kings Instagram account in the middle of the No Kings' national day of action. This shocking censorship comes just weeks before the midterm election.

Capital accumulation is proving to be an unchecked centralization of political power, and the representative bodies are more often than not beholden to their donors to retain power rather than the electorate. So, we will see, yet again, over the next few months how electoralism fails to provide.

Now, don't get me wrong on this note. I have played along and voted my conscience, despite having been deprived an option other than one that supports fascism locally or genocide elsewhere. And, I still encourage others to do the same in an effort to exhaust all peaceful options. But...

It's obvious to anyone who has been paying attention that a small group of billionaires who own social media and MSM are manipulating the narrative in order to divide the working class and undermine democracy. The tools were advertised as empowering and democratizing, but they clearly are not.

The working class, so easily forgotten...

Prices are now rising faster than wages, but Wall Street is fine with that because corporate profits are rising fastest of all. JPMorgan told its wealth clients yesterday: "As long as earnings hold, equities can take hotter inflation and higher yields."
