My Chinese American ex told me they ate Chinese candy corn that actually tastes of corn. I thought she was joking so she got me some. She was correct, it tastes exactly of boiled corn. It was the most disgusting thing I ever ate and I couldn't shake the taste for a week, it kept coming back.
Not at all! You can taste the honey in the pumpkins better, candy corn is more chalky and dry.
I might be biased, though - I think candy corn is “fine” but I LOVE the pumpkins. 😋
this is the correct answer. the orange part of the candy corn is the more honey heavy part, and pumpkins are made of that. no chalky weird white part like on candy corn.
Fondant is a pliable, dough-like sugar icing used to cover and sculpt cakes. It provides a smooth, matte finish and can be rolled out, shaped, or molded into decorative figures
I think that's what the candy corn is. Could be wrong but I still eat them this time of year
Neither candy, nor corn, the name is a double misnomer attempt to disguise the truly disgusting nature of this non-food.

In the U.K. we don’t have candy corn-not available through any retailers & I have never tried it. However we do have Hersheys & Reese’s & they taste like the cremated ashes of long dead Victorian street urchins mixed with vomit.
So I’m going to say I don’t like it purely out of principle 😂
It’s bcs the amount of cocoa & milk required in a bar to legally call it chocolate is different in the UK/EU vs US. Also Butyric acid used to in US production process is what gives Hershey’s its signature vomit flavour.
We just have more refined palettes I guess 🧐
Oreo’s are the exception.
I can't eat fragrant cheese like Parm or Romano or asiago. I'm wrong I know it but I really don't like it. No need to make drama over it lol people are funny
I have always loved the stuff. For Halloween when I was little, we would make vanilla cupcakes with milk chocolate icing and stick candy corn on top. It may be considered too sweet for some but not for me. 😋
