I've seen Superman argue for the sanctity of life a couple hundred times, but this is the first time that I've seen his code against killing hung on the JOY of life. Shaming Luthor for an ungrateful shut-in while hauling him around by the collar, now *that* is some top-tier humiliation.

I’ve been learning film photography and I took two rolls of film on a trip. Last night my card got a refund from the film lab. I’m guessing my photos didn’t come out and I’m bummed!

Just absolute slop. This is offensive to me as a musician, a Superman fan, and an overall lover of human creativity. Disappointed in everyone involved.

Superman: The Stranger #1 is out now! This is the first Black Label I’ve worked on and as a lover of all things vintage, I was very into the 1930’s/Art Deco inspiration for this one. Logo letterforms + trade dress, back cover illustration & interior credits pages were all custom made by me!

Examples of John Byrne’s pencils that are included in the Man Of Steel Absolute Edition. There are a few Dick Giordano-inked panels here and there so I guess editorial pulled those back to photocopy to send to me, 40 years ago.

So, this month DC is soliciting orders for the Superman & Lois 30th Anniversary special, and many of the original team that brought you the wedding are involved! Here’s the wraparound cover art Dan Jurgens pencilled and I inked! Preorder from your local comic shop! Thanks!

I also have lots of Superman 75s and lots of Superman the Movies, but to celebrate the announcement of the Rubber Soul box set I thought that would be fun to go through

Finally, I have an original 65 US Capitol Records pressing. I wanted to collect the versions my mom would’ve had when she was a kid. My older brother got and subsequently lost all her records.

I had an 87 CD pressing but at some point it must’ve gotten sold. Never loved that version. I missed out on the mono vinyl box so this new version eases that pain somewhat.

Then there are the 2009 releases. I have the Mono box set here which includes the original UK mono mix and the UK 1965 stereo mix. I never got the remastered stereo version as I don’t love that stereo mix.

2006 had the Capitol Albums box set volume two which included the US mono and stereo versions. A bit different to the UK mixes and a different track listing. I like this one a lot.

Starting newest and moving backwards I have the 2014 US albums CD box set. This is a bit of a silly release since it has the Beatles albums with the American track listings but the UK mixes. So it just shuffles around the songs. The new box set has the proper US Capitol release.

Without Siegel and Shuster there would be no comic book business—and popular culture—as we know it today. The debt we owe them in incalculable.
