The #TTC hosted their annual United Way Greater Toronto open house event at the Leslie Barns Complex this year, the newest of the three active streetcar carhouses storing and maintaining TTC's streetcar fleet. 📸 | 19/09/26

On September 30th, 2026, the Scarborough Busway opened for service. Operating on the repurposed right-of-way, #TTC buses operate on a former stretch of the Line 3 "Scarborough," saving commuters 7 minutes in their commute time between Kennedy and Scarborough Centre Stations. 📸 | 01/10/26

Stratford GO Station reopens for service on July 6, 2026! One round trip will be extended from Kitchener GO per day. This is the 72nd GO Transit station, and the only GO Station to be located outside the Greater Golden Horseshoe region.

Does anyone know if #Metrolinx is doing a new Pride PRESTO card or has a #PrideToronto street fair booth this year? Haven’t seen it anywhere along Church Street at all…

New projects are underway for MiRide, including the launch of the MiRide website! The MiRide website will serve as the hub for all things MiRide. The MiRide Transit Collection, which is currently hosted on Google Sheets, will be moved here. New features are planned, one of which is shown below!

I recently heard that some #OCTranspo D60LFRs will be going through a life extension refurbishment to make up for their fleet shortage issues, the photos I’ve seen of the outshopped units so far make them look REALLY good. It’s quite a shame I won’t be in eastern Ontario again for the year…

Twilight of the New Flyer Invero 🚌 As newer electric, or even secondhand, buses come online, the days of the last #OCTranspo D40i units are numbered, along with it the #NewFlyer Invero platform... Here's a few photos I've taken of some of the remaining handful of D40i units in service during 2025.

59 years ago today, on May 23, 1967, the first GO Transit trains departed from Oakville and Pickering bound for Toronto Union Station. GO Transit began as a single commuter line, with trains every 20 minutes during rush hour, and every hour off-peak and on weekends.

Remembering a fallen icon... 🚌 When MiRide first launched in 2023, #MiWay was in the process of retiring their #NewFlyer D40LF buses in favour of newer New Flyer XDE40 buses. Following retirement in 2024, some units had second lives with #DurhamRegionTransit, but all were retired earlier this year.

The newest of the bunch! Over the past few months, #GOTransit has been taking delivery of 178 #MCI D45 CRT coach buses, newest buses and the first of their kind in the GO bus fleet! Have you had a chance to ride one yet? More transit photos can be found on my Flickr: www.flickr.com/photos/greei...

EXHIBIT OPENING SOON! An online transit memorabilia database will be going public soon. The MiRide Transit Collection is an ever-growing archive of international public transit memorabilia, with a main focus on North America. Stay tuned for the first phase, featuring 300+ items, coming Q2 2026!
