People talk about Bluesky users "being in a bubble" like it's a bad thing but the more I think about it the more I kinda like it? A protective bubble I could deploy for me and my friends sounds great. I wouldn't want to be in it all the time though, maybe if it had a 10 second cooldown and 650 HP?

used a newer mod for cyberpunk that locks the controller glyphs in place when using mixed input, and somehow this is cutting my framerate in half. what on earth did the mod author do here

(the actual answer is that it's derived from a different mod that was vibecoded, so the author of this mod is likely permeating the same bad code forward without a clue what they're doing. please learn how to properly mod a game!!)

the moment any discussion of game design starts to get into more in-depth particulars, you get reminded that pat is mostly just your average redditor in terms of art discussion rigor

seeing the "final fantasy resonance is a return to form for the series!" sentiment and then playing the demo is making me think the relative lack of jrpgs in the last 10 years has made everyone forget that this genre used to be really robust with mechanics and storytelling

this is a reheated mobile game with stock standard shonen anime characters, no sense of historical texture to the world, and the blandest turn-based combat imaginable. are standards really so low as to warrant the 'overwhelmingly positive' rating on steam?

was recently listening to a video about lost odyssey and just in awe of all the huge creative stabs it's making mechanically and narratively, even if it doesn't always execute perfectly on them. this used to be a really, really ambitious genre, y'all

started anime nights back up a few weeks ago and had gunbuster/diebuster on as one of the highest polled picks. gunbuster had a compelling focus on how the years seem to always get away from us. diebuster is just the template for gurren lagann, which is very unfortunate as the Gurren Lagann Disliker

we don’t use generative AI, have hand drawn 2D animated sprites, AND our game is coded by a bearded canadian guy with glasses so you be the judge of that

the sound of every AI booster on this site getting to grandstand at once about how claude maybe sort of patched a PHP vulnerability slightly faster than if you had humans combing through it
