My largest anxiety & heartbreak doesn't come from the guy from the apps™️ who wasn't super honest w/ me, but from a close friend who continues to put me down for their own benefit despite space + conversation I'm more anxious about the later than the former. At least with the guy™️ we have open comms

Idk i see it as goofy because I'm Journaling + processing anxiety about the friend significantly more than the guy™️ Things suck sometimes but it fuels me to be individually aggressive in my work Positive Ig

It's a bit strange to me that I've had guys on apps ask me "how/why" i support trans rights if I'm not myself (it's listed on bumble at least) & im like...cause I support human rights & people being able to live?? Idk doesn't seem weird to me. If anything you SHOULD support if you arent trans wtf

Me teaching freshman about how to research: "So if you research and find a site, the best ones to rely on are .org and .gov" & then I paused to think that actually...government websites are almost no longer valid source of correct + factual information now...

We're so bottlenecked by nostalgia it's getting tired and boring. Aside from how the #Warped roll-out is being handled...the amount of folks upset about the line-up so far are upset larger name acts aren't on here, is kinda wild. Did we forget what WT was about before? 🧵

Something that isn't being asked/propped up is the acts that new gens are following & latch onto, like we did to those earlier acts. And vilifying the new ones (within reason ofc) & gatekeeping literal kids from avenues to discoverability, is only going to kill the scene v. allow it to progress.

Maybe this is me seeking to expeditiously get fresh, new music like I did back in my college radio days. But it's still goes without noting that we aren't exploring music the same we we used to even a decade ago, & that contributes to how we curate culture overall.

Discovering up & comers + those you don't know? And a few bigger names to draw? If someone is looking for pure nostalgia acts ONLY, then why not just go to #WWWYF? Or go to a show when that act is on tour. Many of them have been over the past 3 years.

I also acknowledge my privilege and biases; I've been to many fests, shows etc. over the years and I'm getting very burnt out from seeing the same sets over and over again to please the mainstream - nostalgic market.

My former best friend from middle school-early college reached out to me today on LinkedIn; ended mutually but I fucked it up cause I was dumb Have only angrily texted the guy from the apps™️ after an incident This week has stressed me out so much & it apparent in my face. give me a break life fr

Already been a week: 1. the guy I was seeing ended up being way further from recovery from addiction than he was honest about (unraveled from an ER visit) 2. I finally resigned for the next school year for the college station I've ran for 4 years because of consistent disrespect & issues with admin

Trade schools are great for those who don't want a traditional 4 year route of higher education. However on the academic side, trade schools need to not put the full burden of class attendance = your evaluations on your shoulders.

I can be as engaging & chill as the next prof but if a student doesn't want to come to class, I can't force them. Having this be a burden on profs shoulders because it can end up in a bad eval from admin, really diverts quality educators (at times) from exploring these positions at trade schools

Definitely interested in how the shift of rhetoric is going to accelerate (or steady?) Over on the bird app after today. I'm also intrigued to see the dichotomy of each + how this is even more so going to impact the way journos (on all levels) disseminate & newsgather

We are not only losing the accessibility of free information, but also to gather, grow community & safeguard one site long enough to be able to navigate away (when/if needed). W/ other sites doing away with fact checking + taking down incorrect info, I deeply fear for the rhetorical impact that's

Going to continue to fall into a slippery slope effect, almost so, because of the separation of so many, originally, diversified and united parts of the internet. It will become a virtual wasteland filled with broken architectures of what once was w/o the proper validation or vindication of it

Think about it this way: Twitter's OG algorithm allowed for immediate breaking news info + some level of credible verification through merit Bluesky has the flexibility to do this, too. BUT many aren't migrating here & may not at all. Therefore, our free news eco-system isn't transferable.

If you aren't ready to safeguard your students (at any education level) who are going to be the most threatened by raids, loss of care, and overall rights, you should absolutely NOT be an educator Hope this helps!!!!

Imagine if media literacy as a high school class. Literally teaching kids how to read and parse and fact check consumed media. I see no downsides. Maximum real life applicability.

Have yall ever had a dude you like be so complimentary of you you're like..."he's gotta be lovebombing/gaslighting me rn" but he just legit thinks you're p cool™️ Anyway, I have realized idk what a healthy relationship dynamic is so uhhhh
