I finished Silent Hill: Townfall yesterday, and it was *really* good. The environments have an insane amount of care put into them and the game not only rewards you, but expects you to look through every nook and cranny in order to understand the story and the world around it

If anything, it's Zoe's storyline that really manages to hit those points. There's only one more gripe I had, and it's that sometimes the script can be too "in your face." For a game that is hellbent on keeping ou in the dark until the very end, some lines are...

...way too direct about things. Again, you'll probably know which ones I'm talking about if you're familiar with the series already. Overall - 8.5/10, it's definitely among the best Silent Hill titles

I won't spoil anything, but the ending WILL be confusing if you're not the type to read documents and notes in games. Again, not a bad thing (I prefer my games like this) but I can see why this would turn some people off. Additionally, I feel like the game never truly hits

any of the emotional highs that some of its predecessors did, but I don't think it truly ever aimed to do that in the first place. You end up feeling more for the residents of St. Amelia than you do for Simon, the titular protagonist, but that seems to be the intent.

appropriately. Worldbuilding is extremely well done, and it's paired with a story that feels just as uncomfortable as you would expect a Silent Hill game to be. My only complaints? Some of the puzzles are ridiculous. While I had fun banging my head agains the wall

over and over again trying to figure some of them out (you'll know which ones I'm talking about) I think it's fair to say that making them so complicated can disrupt the flow of the story and leave you with more questions by the end of the game.

CSP being pressed to take even just /kissing/ off their asset store and FA being told that plus sized characters are considered adult should be a giant waving red flag to folks.
