You can love a character and still admit when they're wrong. I love Stolas but I can recognize his flaws (he has none) and hold him accountable for his mistakes (he's never done anything wrong in his life) and call him out for his actions (they're always valid).

People say that Vassago’s presence in Stolas’s backstory retconned this dialogue, but Stolas is speaking in present tense. Vass sprung the idea of just running away right as he was about to accept his duties. It’s decades later that Stolas wants that escapism now.

This could have been originally interpreted as him having never felt that way before, but the tense made it ambiguous enough to later say he’s craving that kind of relationship now after rejecting the offer. Maybe he assumed he torched bridges with Vass and didn’t think he was still pining for him.

My comfort character brings me nothing but cuteness aggression and pain.

It really is wild how emotionally intense this show is. It just had such power to get us DEEPLY invested, I’m really in awe. There really hasn’t been a single dud episode this season where I’ve been disinterested. After every new ep I have to stare at my blank screen for 5-10 min just to process!

So glad to see that the imp formerly known as Mister Butler has a name. Paimon may have been Stolas's father, but Mortimer was his REAL daddy.❤️
